hello everyone today we're just going to
do a quick little video on trimming the
dog's ears in different ear shapes that
you can do on a dog that you've done a
puppy cut on this is Nikki and you can
see he's got sort of medium to long ears
so we're just going to do some different
shapes on him so you can kind of get an
idea of what you might like for the trim
of your ears when you're doing puppy cut
so we'll go ahead and get started
here's Nikki with a puppy cut the sort
of medium length the ears which is a
really cute look that some people might
like ear shorter so I'm going to show
you some different varieties and of
course his ears have already been
trimmed and are all brushed down ready
to go it's already nice clip but if you
want to change the length of the year
I'm just going to hold on to it we're
gonna brush down were to make sure we
can feel where that your leather is or
the skin buddy we're just going to take
off about an inch straight across then
we're just going to let it brush it out
and sort of let it hang the way it would
naturally and as you can see there's
going to be a bit of extra under here so
we're just going to turn that up and
shape it up we're going to round the
edges make it sort of a bell this is
just a different type of ear shape you
can do it depending on what you like
just want to go over it brush it make
sure it's neat
good boy
again just sort of rounding out the
edges
boy
so there's another style you can do
that's just sort of a shorter more
rounded version sort of a bell type ear
and a lot of people like these sort of
shorter rounder gears on Michaan's
so it's another variety we're actually
going to take it even shorter and make
sort of a triangle shape so we're going
to hold the ear out again feeling where
the ear leather is we're going to trim
all of this now with this ear shape
we're going to follow along his ear a
little bit more make it more triangular
okay like a boy
and see we're stuck not it shorter in
the front shape
I'm just going to go over it again and
again so it looks even and I know that
there isn't any extra hair sticking out
I'm going to take my thinning shears go
across my line here just make it look
more natural
so you can see quite a difference
between our little short triangular ear
and our long sort of just slightly
rounded ear those are just some ideas of
some different shapes that you can do
with the ears when doing a puppy
you
