P G Street rumor program is designed to
maximize public safety that's our number
one goal so we want to make sure that
the trees maintain a proper clearance
away from the powerlines
so our teacher and program will go out
there and clear any branches that get
too close to the power lines
PGs forestry program uses professional
tree crews that are trained in the
proper modern agricultural practices and
we prune and trim trees according to
those specifications the Oregon Public
Utility Commission manday said all
utilities in Oregon maintain clearance
between the trees and the powerlines
also part of P G's program is we want to
go out and assess any hazardous
situations and mitigate those before the
storm season to decrease the amount of
outages we have when the stores do come
through broken off branches are a number
one source of tree cause outages PG
foresters go out every two to three
years to inspect every model and power
line so you could expect to see a PG for
certain your neighborhood taking a look
at the powerlines during that time and
then you'll most likely see the contract
tree crews out in your neighborhood
every two to three years to prune the
trees that need to be trimmed
before PG comes into an area to trim the
trees we'll send out a notification
letter that states that we're going to
be in the area trimming trees on our
routine basis and at that point within a
couple weeks you should see a tree crew
out there to trim your trees yes hi
We're with PGE
we're going to be trimming the locust
tree out front we need to keep it out of
the high voltage wires any time we're
going to be trimming trees and we need
cars moved we'll let you know ahead of
time so that you can get them moved and
any other special circumstances we'll
let you know ahead of time you know the
way the biggest help that PG customers
can give to our tree trimming program is
to plant the right tree in the right
place the best trees are the trees that
that you find most appealing but also
are not going to interfere with the
powerlines a portland general comm we
have a very good tree selection guide if
you have any questions about what the
right tree in the right place is take a
look at portland general comm and also

hazardous situation between a tree and a
power line on your property please get
