hello so today I am going to be showing
you how I cut my hair I've done this for
the past couple of years where instead
of going to the hairdresser kind of just
cut my hair myself at home actually cuz
i was saving money but partially because
I was just like I'm going to go and it
worked so I kept doing it so today I
thought I'd show you how I do it
so first up you're going to need some
scissors I like to use some little sharp
nail scissors you're also going to need
two hair ties and a drop cloth and and
bin to catch all the hair it does get
quite missing you'll also need some
mirrors so you can see what you're doing
and a hair straightener which I will
show why you need that in a second so
first up I section my hair and the idea
is you want to get here that's all in
the same layer of your head so it's all
the same length and then what I'm going
to do is straighten it just so I know
that there aren't any kinks in my hair
that are going to affect the length and
meaning that I'm going to cut one bit
way shorter than the rest next you're
going to decide what length you want it
I just decided to go quite short this
time and you want to cut it a little bit
longer than what you want it to be the
first cut is definitely the scariest and
for a while it's going to look a little
bit weird but persevere you'll get there
and in this stage you're not worried
about cutting it perfectly straight
we're going to fix that so how I do that
is I cut upwards in a motion and this
kind of Ruffins the edge makes it not
too blunt but it also helps shorten bits
so you can even out any crookedness once
you're done with that section and it
looks pretty straight you're going to
tied up in a little ponytail just so it
doesn't get in the way over the next
video
here we're going to cut and you're going
to take down another section of here so
you keep the process of straightening
then cutting and trimming and you can
also use another piece of hair that
you've already cut off it's a guy that's
kind of gross but it works it's helpful
make sure you're not going to get it way
shorter than the wrists underneath and
then once you've done that section I
take it out of the ponytail and check
those are two layers kind of the same
length when I did it the bottom layer
was a bit long in aside to trim that so
you pick that with every layer of your
hair until your whole head is done and
finally I like to give my hair good
shoji mess up and sometimes you will
find a bit that's longer than the rest
because it was flipped around in the
wrong place and then you're done so
today I curled mine a bit I'm still not
sure how to kill it when it's this short
but they'll be learning process I'm sure
maybe I'll do a video about how I do my
damn when it's short when I figure that
out I hope this was helpful I'm not a
hairdresser but this is just how I do it
