i'm going to show you how to make this
bench leg
i'm going to show you how to use a few
different commands to come up with this
leg design
so this is a very simple process so
let's get started
first of all i'm going to
x out of this right here
and come to this design already drawn
and move it off the drawing page
okay first step come over to the left
left click on your rectangle tool
come back over to your drawing page
and draw it out to
yours
draw it out to your needs
come back over here to the eclipse tool
draw an eclipse
put it approximately in that direction
location
okay i'm going to
left click and deselect both of these
items
come back over here to and notice right
here
that the
oval
is a little bit offset to the right
so if you hit your c button
it will center this oval onto the square
so i'm going to undo that
this offset right now
so i'm going to hit the c button on the
keyboard
and now it's centered
okay left click and
deselect both of these
come up here to the top toolbar
to the windows
left click
bring your pointer down
to the dockers
move over to the right
and come down to your shaping
button or your shaping command and left
click
and you'll have this window come up to
the right
now both of these deselected the
target and the source objects deselect
those
come over here to
the oval
left click
which should be hided
right to you trim
left click
come back over to your square
left click
and you'll see you're now
your your item now has the uh the bottom
portion of the
the oval removed
so
move this over here to the left
get out of the way i'm going to do it
again faster this time
we'll come over here to the rectangle
tool i'm going to draw a rectangle
go back over here to the
eclipse
draw an eclipse and i'll purposely
offset it
okay we'll
come over here to pick tool
select both of these
hit the c button
head over to the right i'll deselect
both of these first
come over to the right
no excuse me select this oval first come
to the right left click on the trim
come back to your square
click on that
and now you'll have your shape again

process once you
learn the
keystrokes
i'm sure you could use this on one of
your projects
