social media somewhere for you guys
probably over here don't forget to
follow me on there post a lot of eye
looks and things like that you are a
returning subscriber thank you so much
for being here today's video is going to
be like another hack video I've done
like a eyelash video in the past on how
to apply magnetic lashes and do it using
a hack that I figured would work and it
worked for me it worked for a lot of you
did watch it some of you it still didn't
work so this hack it might not work for
you but it did work for me so if you are
brave enough to try it go for it
if it doesn't work please don't come for
me this is just something that worked
for me and I figured I would share it
with you guys maybe it will help some of
you I recently got these lashes these
are Lily lashes I found at t.j.maxx from
the support collection for $7.99 the
regular $30 I have a video that I did
applying these lashes and I thought that
they looked hilarious on me I thought
that they looked way too long they were
bugging me like crazy even after
trimming the band so this video is not
about trimming the band of your lashes
this video is about actually trimming
the lash hairs so if you're curious on
how to trim your lash hairs and make
them shorter and a little bit more
comfortable for your eyes just keep on
watching these are the Lily lashes in
the style Miami from the Sephora
collection this video is gonna be all
about cutting the actual lash strands
like the actual lashes I do like my
lashes to be shorter on the inner
corners and longer on the outer corners
similar to this style I don't have a lot
of lid space so I feel like if the
lashes are too long they're hitting my
eyebrow they're hitting my nose they're
just obnoxious so I don't want to pass
these on and I don't want them to just
sit in my drawer and not get used so I
figured I would do a video for you guys
on how to trim the actual lash hairs I
did do a video recently on magnetic
lashes if you guys are curious on how to
magnetic lashes I'll have that right up
here for you guys I was kind of hesitant
to post that video and I'm still glad I
still did I hope it was helpful to a lot
of you guys if you're wondering why I
never mention my magnetic lashes anymore
or why I don't wear them anymore it's
because I actually ended up ruining them
trying to cut the actual like lashes I
have them right here I can I don't have
the heart to throw them away except for
$15 what I did in my video was I
actually cut each band in half the top
and the bottom the top and the bottom
each eye gets two strips and I cut the
strips in half this ended up working
well for me what I ended up doing is
cutting the actual lash hairs straight
across and as you can see I did it with
this one and it just ruined it it barely
fits on my eye it looks funny I just
ruined it so I can't wear these anymore
so these lashes are just too long for me
I have cut the band on these lashes and
the band is perfect for my eyes now but
the length of the actual hairs of the
lashes are still too long if you like
long lashes if your eyes are big enough
for long lashes I'm so jealous but let's
see if cutting these are gonna work a
lot better these lashes are the same
length all the way across from the inner
corner to the outer corner they're not
that comfortable on me so I'm gonna
actually cut the little hairs as you can
see these are faux mink they're very
soft they're actually called 3d foaming
because you as you can see there's like
different layers of lashes and it has
like a beautiful effect I don't know if
you can see them close up but there's
just so much lash there that it's hard
for me to use so I'm gonna determine
which corner is the inner corner which
one is the outer corner and I'm going to
trim them so that the outer corner is
longer than the inner corner when you're
cutting your band if the band is too
long for your eyes you want to start
from the outer corner and just cut some
of the band off wherever you need it you
can measure it to your eye and cut the
band off but see how it fans out and
it's the same length all the way across
the actual lashes for my magnetic lashes
I
cut them straight across and that did
not work it did not look natural it was
terrible
so on these ones I'm going to try and
feather them a little bit differently so
I'm going to say that this is going to
be my inner corner so I want to make
them shorter so instead of cutting them
straight across I'm actually going to
just feather them with my scissors like
this
this way they will look a little bit
more natural I can trim them they'll
still have their 3d effect they won't be
cut straight across as you can see it's
gonna take some time I'm just gonna do
it little by little they already look a
little bit better I'm gonna step away
from the camera for a minute because
it's kind of hard to see so I grab the
opposite lash now this is the other eye
as you can see feathering it actually
works really well this side you can tell
this is the inner corner and it's a lot
shorter now it's not gonna bug me as
much and the outer corner is still long
I am gonna work on it a little bit more
to kind of get it to the length of that
I want it but I think this technique is
working a lot better than just cutting
it straight across so if you have lashes
that are too long and you don't want to
return them but you don't want to give
them away but you don't want them to sit
there and go to waste try this technique
because it's working really well and
what suggest doing this up against a
white surface so that you can really see
the lash standout so what I'm doing is
actually moving to my white desk back
there and doing it with my white desk as
a background so the lashes really stand
out so I can see what I'm doing so there
again is more progress this is the
original before lash and this is the
after do you see that difference this is
still like all one link this one is cut
and I'm shocked
i jus just want to pull you guys over
here and show you I am actually cutting
these lashes this is actual lash hair
that I have trimmed right on my makeup
desk this is the before lash and this is
the after lash that I'm working on
trimming so I'm just gonna work on it
until I get the length that I want and I
will check back in you can see the trim
dilash still has its layers still has
that 3d effect this is not
saying that well so it's kind of
difficult but it's it looks good still
it's a lot shorter but it's gonna work
so much better for me but still have
that beautiful effect that is such a
huge difference that is crazy
they're still dramatic but they're the
perfect dramatical length for me the
bottom one is the cut one this one is
the original one I just think it looks
so much better okay guys that's it for
this video I seriously cut my Lily
lashes and they feel so much better they
feel so much more comfortable and they
still look fabulous they they feel great
like they still feel dramatic and I feel
like they look dramatic but I think they
look a lot better than they did on me if
you saw my previous video where I put
them on I thought they looked hilarious
on me I thought they looked so weird so
if you guys have lashes and you've been
too scared to cut them but you've not
wanted to get rid of them I suggest you
try this technique definitely look into
other techniques out there I haven't
watched any videos like this same with
my magnetic lash video I didn't watch
any videos prior to posting that video
and after I posted that video I watched
other techniques there is multiple other
techniques out there for the magnetic
lashes and I'm sure there's other
techniques out there for trimming your
lash hairs as well if it doesn't work
for you don't come for me but it worked
for me and they still look good they
still look feathered they look
voluminous
and they feel so much better on my eyes
they're not bugging my inner corners
they're not making my eyebrows itch like
dramatic lashes without the annoyance so
I hope this video was helpful if you
guys liked it please give it a thumbs up
and I will see you guys in my next video
