hi welcome back so we're here on a
burger job and I just want to give a few
tips on how to properly cut barber and
sing it together so this right here is a
little row runner instead of using my
pen or a flathead screwdriver some
people would like to use a flathead
screwdriver to separate the fibers this
right here is pretty nifty little tool
so you can come in a little bit here
it's all smooth on both ends what you do
got a brown loop and a white loop than
these anyway so we get a little bit
closer here I want to make a point the
two white line and brown line that are
right beside one another and then
there's a dip a hump a dip a hump a dip
I like to go right in between those two
with my roadrunner
okay and then I'm going to take my rope
cutter whichever I want to use this side
so again I'm going to use it this has
two blades in it I'm going to use the
blade that's on this side because I'm
using this side of the piece
[Applause]
okay now just notice here there's a
white line on this and on this there's a
brown line so bids were using this piece
we want to cut this piece to where
there's a white line here you don't want
to get two Browns together huh yep dip
want to get in the same spot here since
we're using this piece I'm going to
switch my blades around use the blade
that's on the other side
we got a white one here Brown right here
now it looks like this is gonna work
like a zipper see how this sticks out
that dips in that sticks out and this
dips in that's gonna go together real
nice like that it looks like that's
exactly how it goes it's actually not
how it goes it fits together like that
so don't let that deceive you what you
need to do is we got a big one here and
a big one there instead of them zipping
together just like a zipper you actually
want to put those two right beside one
another and that's the way it goes it
might look a little funny look like it's
going to go together better like that
but that's actually the way so if we got
it like a zipper I actually have my big
piece laid out here I want to show you
what it looks like if you put it
together like a zipper okay so if you'll
notice when you get it at angle on the
the bar you can see lines run diagonal
what that does can you see this line
right here it actually offsets from this
piece to this piece that's because I've
got it going together like a zipper when
I but them the big piece and the big
piece wrapped together it'll actually
line it right up
okay now looky here broke loose so now I
got the fat line and the fat line right
together okay okay
now if you'll go over there and look at
the angle these lines run straight up
through the center matched up perfectly
so that's why it's important to get them
big piece to big piece rather than zip
it up it does look better on top of it
like this
a little closer it definitely looks
better putting it together like that
from here than that but that's actually
the right way don't take months just
that much of a shift makes all the
difference if you're looking at an angle
okay now the white line and the brown
line is is a real important if you get
to two Brown lines together send out
real Matt show you
okay can you see that they're the two
brown lines are gonna stand out pretty
bad you got to make sure you get a white
in a brown okay and that's it I just
want to kind of explain the ships in the
back and forth a little bit there I know
I made that mistake for a while not look
good putting it together on top of it
but when you stand back it just was it
quite right so just a little shift put
them bumps together and don't offset
them put the bumps together
