hey guys
welcome back to tennessee grilling and
smoking i'm dustin and today
we got a whole boneless ribeye guys it
was on salad kroger's i couldn't pass it
up i love
ribeye one of my favorite steaks one of
my favorite cuts
and normally this one right here was
normally 13 a pound it's choice and so
it was on sale today for 6.99 a pound i
got a 17 pounder so i saved a hundred
dollars
just getting it today so i couldn't pass
it up like i said it's one of the
easiest things to trim up when you're
just doing the steaks now
some people smoke the whole thing and
that's something i might do
another day but for today we're just
going to cut it up in the steaks because
we're going to have a little get
together tomorrow and
perfect timing to come across this bad
boy so i'll be right back i'm gonna go
ahead and cut this open
and get all everything drained pat it
dry a little bit and i'll show you what
i do
all right guys check this thing out you
can see right there where they've
already got the ribbon separated
and pulled off of it everything on this
looks just great
now i'm not going to cut it from this
side i'm going to flip it over
i just want to give you a quick little
shot of that ain't that pretty
all right guys i got her flipped over
there and you can see there ain't going
to be really nothing to it
i'm just trying to mark a few little
spots where i want to cut trying to
measure out
before i start cutting these trying to
get a couple of them even but we're
going to do different sizes because i
like my steaks thick myself is my dad
now my wife she likes her steaks thin so
we're just going to start
right here and we're just going to slice
this one out
just like that
looks good
another one here
oh yeah
and we're just going to go down here cut
our stakes about the thickness we want
them
and these are the thin ones i'm doing
right over here on this side
because it's a little bit leaner on this
side over here so i'm going to go ahead
and start making some thicker cuts now
going about two inch and a half
[Music]
that's just about right see now
right there you see that
that's a good sized rib eye
i'm going to cut a few of them about
that size and then there's one more
little cut i'm going to do them and i'll
show you what i do
[Music]
all right guys you can see on almost i
mean every
every cut they look
absolutely delicious
[Music]
all right i hope you can see that good
here now what i'm going to do
is i want to cut it from about right
here straight down
to about right here now get all this
right here just hard fat
that's what we're taking off we're
taking off that little spot right in
there
so just start right here
that's what we're ending up with right
there
good perfect rib eye ready to go
on the grill pretty excited about it
guys
it's gonna be gonna be all right
i'm just gonna go ahead and do the rest
of those like that
[Music]
we're getting these up here
are a little bit leaner they don't have
as much fat so that's the
front part of it we don't have to really
take as much off on this one there's
still a little bit of that
that hard fat right there i'm gonna
knock off not much at all
all right let's take a look at them
looking there and i'll tell you why
this cutting board this is what it was
made for look at that
that kept boards massive and you can't
even see it no more so yes
bring back designs i really put i really
made it shine this time this is what it
was built for
right there just handled those stakes
perfectly
but yeah there they are i've got 12
really good cuts of ribeye off of this
and i've got a little little scrap over
here on the end for the pups
i always try to throw them a little bit
out and i'm really happy with it
all right guys thank you very much for
watching uh like i said this is just the
way i'll cut this up i'm sure there's a
thousand other ways to do it i'm sure
you do it a little different but you
know
every time i've done it like this i've
always gotten great results
steaks turned out amazing on the grill
and i'm sure they're going to tomorrow
also
so i thank you very much for watching
give me a like and a thumbs up i'm
trying to grow my channel still trying
to throw out some
two or three good cooks a week and uh
guys if you watch my video
yesterday on the mail call i'm really
appreciating all those stickers heck
i've got my board filled up so now i'm
gonna have to start working on another
board
