there are plenty of reasons why you
would want to cut or trim a specific
part of a youtube video maybe you want
to share a portion of that video with
your friends or maybe you want to save a
small portion of that video to make a
cool meme like this
in this short tutorial i will show you
the easiest way to do this and the best
part is that you don't need to install
any software in addition i will even
show you how to make a cool gift from
that small portion of the video that you
already cut out bear in mind that if you
want to use a specific portion of a
youtube video that's not yours you must
have the consent of the person who
created that video or you can use that
content under fair use let's get started
go to flixxer.com and click on get
started to use their free online video
editor
select the link option copy the link to
your youtube video and then paste it
here and click on import the best part
is that this also works with videos from
other platforms such as tick tock and
more wait a few seconds for your videos
to import
then drag the playhead to the place
where the portion you want to save
starts and click the cut button or press
s on your keyboard do the same thing
again for the end of the portion you
want to save
then right click on the first part that
you want to get rid of and click ripple
delete select the ending part and delete
that as well
you could achieve the same effect by
just dragging on the beginning and end
of your clip on the timeline but using
the cut button can be a lot more precise
when you're happy with the way your
video looks click the export button in
the top right corner
you can save your clip as a video or
select the gif format in this drop down
menu to turn it into a gif
when you click on export and download
