the key to making a perfect bow is to
use wire edged ribbon wire edged ribbon
allows you to bend the ribbon into any
shape that you want and it will stay in
any position that you put it in to begin
making a ribbon measure out a length
three inches longer than you'll want the
tails to be then where you measured
you're just going to flip the ribbon
give a little twist so that the wrong
side of the ribbon is now facing up and
then you'll just take that and curve it
right around straightening out any folds
then you'll just twist it again so at
this point we have all the right side of
the ribbon facing upward now this will
be the middle loop of your ribbon this
will be the smallest ribbon on the bow
so what you're going to do to make the
other loops so just bend it right
underneath the middle ribbon that you
just did push it out until you've got
your loop as big as you want it and now
right now the wrong side of the ribbon
we're facing up so what you do just give
a little twist a single twist and then
you end up with the right side of the
ribbon facing upward just like all the
other sides so then you do the exact
same thing on the other side of the bow
place your ribbon and give it a twist
you just continue doing that for as many
loops as you want the ribbon to be you
can even go beyond six loops if you want
a really big bow to just do the same
thing fold the ribbon under and give it
a twist
pull the ribbon under give it a twist
pull the ribbon under give it a twist
now for the six loop again just fold the
ribbon under and give it a twist so now
that you've got all six view loops made
you're going to want to take either
piece of string or I like to use a piece
of wreath wire and just go right through
the center loop I'm going to just tie
off all of those layers that you just
folded give that a few twists in the
back to secure it what that will do is
that will hold the loops in place then
feet on the ribbon back around going to
have your initial tail then the little
piece on the bottom I become a second
tail you'll just cut that off to the
desired length
now what you want to do is just spread
out your loops because this is wire
edged ribbon to spread out very easily
just pull them into position just leave
a two on top end up at the top of the
bow you know to middle end up in the
middle and so on you find that one
ribbon is a little bigger than the
others you just puff it up a little bit
or give it a pull from the corresponding
ribbon on the other side like that
and that's all there is to it
then you can use these ribbons on
centerpieces you can use them on gift
boxes or anri's the very versatile so
you can use some pretty much anything
that you could use ribbon for and
usually the material is waterproof so
views and outdoor wreaths it shouldn't
have any adverse effects
