Need up to 30 seconds to load.
as a cyclist we all love to upgrade our
bikes it's never-ending protests which I
personally really like we want to make
our bikes faster better-looking and of
course lighter my name is Alex and in
this episode i will provide advice where
you can shave off some weight from your
bike what I did myself without breaking
the bank

I bought in Euro bike back in 2015 the
stock bike weight was seven point 86
kilos without pedals then I thought why
not to challenge myself and make this
bike a bit lighter
I set a budget of 700 years dollars for
the next two years
I knew that my bike or was already pre
collided and all components were good
that's why I set a realistic number to
save at least 500 grams
I was not limited in time that while I
was waiting for the right deals okay
guys now to the most fun part I will
show where is the best place to start
this is one of the most popular upgrades
the usual stock wheels or wheels comes
with your bike are relatively heavy and
this is the right place where to save
some weight I did upgrade to Campanile
Zonda saving was 225 grams compared to
my stock Shimano RS 11 wheels if we are
talking about the weight continental
drunk pricks 4000 as two tires are the
way to go this is a great balance
between weight rolling resistance and
the performance they say with me about
100 grams for my bike in my opinion
inner tubes as a cheapest way to save
some weight my choice was latex tube
because they provide more comfort versus
the standard inner tubes and of course
lighter here I still prefer using tubes
in this case my bike became lighter on
48 grams I was lucky enough and found
the seat post and saddle combo do carbon
seat post and said Oh save me 59 grams
from the original parts
I like the aesthetics of the road bike
and my bike was using Shimano rs500
grunt set from the first day I knew that
I would change it to one or five crank
set also the original grand set weight
was under 150 freakin grams heavier no
one is talking about quick little
skewers but this is a cost-effective
place where to save grams for my bike I
have save at 74 grams which is pretty
good result I'm using clipless pedals my
original pedals were Shimano PDR pipe
4-0 and I have changed them to carbon
Shimano 105 pedal this change saved me
45 grams now after two years of riding
on this bike I'm pleased with all
changes I did to my robot I liked how it
looked and roll total savings was 704
grams which exceeded my expectations I
have spent a little bit more but in my
opinion it was worth it probably you
will be able to save even more weight
from your bike please share your numbers
let me know what using your list what
upgrades you did for your bike in the
comments below
