story time only because I had a thoughts
earlier today I'm not gonna do a little
town bout that okay but y'all know first

gonna be a quick story town okay and I
was sitting listen to something I can't
even remember what it was and it popped
in my head what was your worst temp job
you know what was your worst Tim guy
which one did you just not like it all
and I'm like you know what
I had a few so when I graduated high
school I did not want to go to college I
was I don't like school I've never been
a person to learn by like sitting in the
classroom being taught by someone else
I'm very myself a hands-on learning if
you show me something I learned it quick
okay it's know I had pertain information
really well or whatever I'm a hands-on
on the hands-on person or whatever that
was nasty anyway so I was lucky enough
after that when I got what temp agency
and everything and I was working
different office jobs and I was
consistently being placed because I was
very good okay because I had also worked
like in the office at our school the
high school I cried for years so
I was placed at like a travel agency
okay we would call and make your travel
arrangements on
booking your travel but again after you
booked it I would like get the paper
together
I would like print our tickets and stuff
like that we even did travelling stuff
for different government Philly it's
like different companies about us are
there that was never like I remember
worked with the people is really cool
for some reason I remember there's
always stapling together the airplane
tickets it was weird or whatever but I
was placed on this one assignment and
I'm not gonna say the name of the place
because I really can't remember it but I
know it was in Frasier Michigan and it
was like an automotive place okay and
again all my jobs for office I've jobs
front office type stuff or whatever and
it was I forgot how long the assignment
was for but it was supposed to be like a
front desk receptionist okay you know
taking phone calls you know preparing
documents all that stuff okay and this
was back in maybe 2003 or 2002 back in
the early in the early 2000s or whatever
and so I went to this job you know I did
not have a car back then and also that
fourth party before their prompt like my
2001 so I didn't have a car I was
catching SMART bus to work and my mom or
my dad will like drop me off at the bus
at the bus stop and then the kind of
bust I thought it was smart bus okay the
smart you have SMAC buses here and eat
in Michigan and in Detroit and you have
I could be that bus the DDOT buses are
the Detroit buses but sometimes you
would not be on time but the SMART bus
is okay and the suburbs was always
really on time or whatever so this
particular one I was where you would go
to location they would take you directly
to where you were going so like I would
you pick it up on that same island green
foil or whatever it was they would take
me to my job back to the parking lot
my job and then to pick me up I could
call them and say hey I'm leaving work
at this time they would come pick me up
and then take me back to the drop-off
location or whatever so I was catching
the bus back and forth or whatever my
dad will pick me up and bring me home um
so the first day I'm not gonna have fun
to me great and they didn't really need
anyone I really feel like they just
wanted someone to sit in since I had
nothing to do all day I was sitting like
this look at his friend she and I would
say if whatever parts they were ordering
for big orders for all these companies
was in and I'm like but it was really
like it wasn't much because the other
lady who was there did most of it I'm
looking like I don't have nothing to do
and then the office I saw Dan was like
it smelled funny I didn't like that or
whatever and a little laptop and I'm
like this is so boring it was a very
boring place it was very very boring
okay and I'm like I can't like I can't
stay here like I can't keep I can't keep
working here like this I'm gonna I was I
literally felt like I was gonna go
insane in this job okay because I was
literally there for like eight hours a
day doing nothing and because I was a
temp I could you know back then back
then we enhanced cell phone with the
internet in social media so if you were
at work bored you will just add work
bored okay you were at work boy I
couldn't do anything Dave can do nothing
and I couldn't even leave on lunch and
goes where cuz that's what I don't have
a car so I have to eat lunch in the
cafeteria it was bad okay what so it was
just boring and I remember I called it
babies and I was like I can't stay here
like I'm like they don't really even
need me I need y'all to sign me
somewhere else too because I don't I
can't do this I'm leaving today and I'm
not coming back and I was like okay you
know we'll get somebody on schedule I'm
like fine
but I was like can God not tell them yet
so it's not weird you know the rest of
day no like no well you know half a
condom from whatever is fine and I
remember I told the job place I don't
feel well I'm gonna I'm gonna leave
early and I called the smart bus
hey I need y'all come pick me up 2:30
would have found the words or whatever
and I remember that I typed a sorry the
electron no I would not be back you know
this isn't gonna work out like you guys
don't really need me and I feel like my
smart my skills could be used better
somewhere else for somebody with who
really needs me to work there and I
typed it up on the laptop
and I left the laptop open on the desk
and I left while they were at lunch or
whatever and I remember sitting in the
front lobby waiting for the SMART bus to
pull up and pick me up and I owe you you
leaving it yeah I don't feel well you
know I really don't and I have to leave
before anybody you know sees what I
wrote on the laptop cuz I don't want to
be awkward
okay I don't want it to be awkward side
of car that's my hey jog on the way
she's a kid they're on the way to be
fine so like right as the boss dude was
going to the office with a laptop was
opening you can see him see him my note
or whatever the bus put up and I just
despite out of there and left and never
look back never look back it was
horrible it was so boring I was like it
remember even when I was in I went to
trade school can we trade school and I
went to Everest okay everest institute
which here which it has had many
different names but it's the kind of
trainer you go to you wanna be like I'm
a massage therapist you know gonna work
the front the front office of medical of
a medical place or if you want to be
melissa is that kind of thing i went
there and when
I went there like an idiot like a six
and nine month program and it really
helped me because it's part of the
reason I am in the field I mean I'm in
today but not because of what they
taught me per se
okay per se because when you go to
Everest you do learn a mess or whatever
and schoolwork there then gonna place
you in the externship at the end of and
you hope to get hired into a review to
your externship at well when I feel
another Namur theme they put me at a
location at Providence Hospital but it's
like a promise after like in the file
room and I didn't have computers it was
literally a file room when you would his
file papers but I was not able to learn
anything like I was the only one there
I'm like this this isn't a proper
internship this is dumb this is stupid
I'm not gonna stay here I'm gonna leave
and then I did I chose to not go back I
ended up in a job somewhere else and an
actual office at afford neurosurgeons or
whatever and I was there for like three
years after that but you know Everest
would not give me credit for working
because they said you can't get credit
hours for your externship of you're
working and I'm like okay I can be like
one hour a day of you know not getting
paid and they won't let me do that I'm
like y'all ain't [ __ ] y'all gave me a
punk-ass externship that I had to quit
okay I gotta quit laughs it was it made
me mad but my point is when I am
somewhere and I don't feel happy
I will leave like I will leave like you
know what I'm done I had another job I
was working at a law firm now this was
back when I was dating Beach so when was
I don't know what year it was but it was
a little to office lawyer's office in
Detroit owned only on the west I don't
why on me and it was a chronic treatment
here so I was just running funny but one
of the partners like move to Atlanta and
then one partner was left here in
Detroit and they didn't have much
traffic and everything or not and I
wasn't I would make a maybe lie
Madlock so our back man and it was it
was some [ __ ] and that it got to the
point to where like the lawyer wasn't
even coming I would be the only one in
the office it was a small office it was
a rinky-dink office or whatever and then
I remember I made up a whole life I
remember um they were planning to move
locations okay from one office that was
a bigger office and they were merging
with another firm okay and he was like
well I don't know how long we'll be able
to keep your own staff because they
already have one little secretary there
they may not need to add you to time I
would you let me know like what's gonna
happen he said well I can probably teach
one part-time and I was like yeah okay
now it was fine when it was me there you
know cuz I was young guy in the builds
or whatever it was me there and all
about herself as I could you know just
chill out oh but you're gonna put me in
office with other people and I'm not
full time I'm gonna get pay even less
money mm-hmm and I remember it was it
was payday and he wrote me a personal
check that Eileen went to the bank
around the corner that it was written
away and they would not cash it there
was something that was not enough money
in that account to pay me and I was like
wet and my check couldn't have been more
than like maybe $400 something like what
the [ __ ] earrings I'm not calm mr. stone
so but you need to go out and have a
good day one cat like this is my work
shirt like for working there the
previous you know week or whatever I
made a phone can I check what
supplicated whatnot you know oh I call
the heater up having to call the bank
come down to the bank and order for them
to cash my little 400 and somebody took
whatever I might see this is a sign from
God okay and so the following day when I
was supposed to go to work I called I
said I can't come to work because our
house caught on fire I'm like I don't
know why I thought that like so I'm
probably not gonna be able to come back
because I had to hand
like I can't worry about being there for
exam I told him that our house caught on
fire girl Oh stupidity but I was just
like I won't go back and I ain't nowhere
to say whatever I did not want to work
so so the thing I don't know if they may
know that my house
really did not catch on fire like it did
not at all but out I didn't want to beat
here so you know I gotta go I got my
check I'm gone okay so I had a lot of
weird eye jobs when I was younger from
like the time I was fresh out high
school until around 2004 is when I
really started like keeping Jai like for
a long time and it was not jobs through
ten pages I was getting my own stuff but
it's also the reason why I'm so
well-rounded because I literally have
worked at a law firm
I worked for bankers I've worked for
people in the automotive industry I have
worked for neurosurgeons I worked in
billing I worked in mortgage but I have
this well-roundedness of information so
I think that's why when I went to
interview for the job where I work now
and I've been I've been where I have
been where I am now for five years and I
think when I went there I interviewed
and I ain't I anywhere where I work now
I interviewed a bounce it was less than
a month after my dad passed away and
when I went on there you I told you a
1080 I had been working with a while ago
just called me and I was like I don't
want to work I'm tired I'm chilling or
whatever I don't do anything and they
can't sing I think this could be really
good thing like it's for six weeks it's
just to do like a little program they
have or whatever they need for the
summer and it's just six weeks or it'll
just give you times like I'm saying do
something but not do too much and I was
kind of cool and I'm like all right but
I'm going I
I use whatever one thing that's it and
when I went I remember I wasn't even you
know at my best because I didn't I
didn't give a [ __ ] at that point down my
soul I can hate losing my dad and when
she was talking to me and she was just
slipped off my resume she's like oh she
worked here in here in here I'm Mikey
I've been with these two teenagers and I
was always being placed and all these
amazing places because my skill level
you know cover so much that I was able
to be placed you know here there and
everywhere and she was like oh and a
little bit that I know she loves me
based on my expertise or whatever and
even now that's the reason why the
bigwigs at my job come to me as if I'm a
big week because you know I never but I
guess the whole point of this thing was
you know in my younger years I had these
crazy sim jobs for like two weeks II I
had one time that was two days I hated
those I prefer to have Jim job that was
at least two weeks to a month just
because you know it's consistent I hate
cuz you did you go to a job for one day
and you don't know what your folks are
gonna do there for two days looks like
I'm gonna do besides sit here so I
prefer being there for a longer period
of time to get used to things and to
learn new things so I were always gonna
know don't I don't want any one or two
days silence I think I had that like
twice and I was like I don't want that
no more like if it's not at least two
weeks I don't want it and I'm liking I
got from that to a stylist a month I
don't want it and then once I got able
to like you know what I'm done with
champion I'm just gonna put my resume
out and get an idea and I've been able
to do that I never went to a four-year
college I just have a high school
diploma and my trade school stuff and
some classes I've taken at Wayne State
to better myself well you know like
computers and all that stuff and then I
I'm amazing okay I'm amazing so you know
I wait I went through the [ __ ] and
I'm good now but yeah I had to tell the
people when my house burned down and to
the left one no I told her I can't be
here now I want to leave I don't want to
do this anymore
I even worked through some agency at GM
OnStar and it's crazy
one could never go there anyway that's
my three-times you know don't be afraid
to glom them and get a job with a temp
company because if you play your cards
right you can learn so many different
skills that you can get any job you want
when I went and got the job at a law
firm and I was there for years I didn't
get that based on me having any law
experience I got that based on me having
office experience and then I had temped
somewhere what you know for a minute at
a law firm and I had it was like little
stuff that built it up - even at this
big law firm for to plan it for two
years
here for two years and even live the
medical job I had before where I'm where
I'm currently with and it was at the
neurosurgeons office before I got that
based on me just going to UM Everest and
having that on my resume but having
years of office experience years of
stuff and it works so if you are in a
bind and not knowing what you want to do
don't be afraid I mean a real tempt I
don't mean like a little rinky-dink mzn
thing I mean like go on Google go to my
store look at these Tim companies or
whatever and they can place you and you
just have to go there with your best
foot forward
don't be like me and be asked like I
ain't doing this and I ain't doing that
and leaving in the middle today I think
back then it was a little bit more
lenient to how things work and I was a
bit of item just talked about things but
anyway yeah
that's my 3 time I don't know what the
point of it is I guess I thought off the
bottom and now I'm here
