hey welcome back guys so today on this
video we're talking about net spend and
more specifically we're talking about
how to load money onto your net spend
prepaid debit visa card so let's go
ahead and talk about this first off if
you're not familiar with net spend it is
one of the largest more popular prepaid
debit cards on the market right now and
basically what you can do is you can buy
these cards like I did at local
retailers I bought mine at CVS Pharmacy
once you buy this card
I think the card it was 295 and then
once you buy the card you can put cash
green cash onto your net spend prepaid
card once you've loaded money on to the
card then you can use this card kind of
like a regular bank debit card you can
use it where retailers accept Visa debit
which is most retailers these days but
how do you load money onto the card
that's what we're gonna talk about today
there's actually about four different
ways to load money onto your NetSpend
account so let's go ahead and talk about
that first off you're gonna want to have
that app when you activate and enroll
this card you do need to set up a
username and password once you've set
that up then you can use the app this is
the app right here it's this orange and
white one it's called NetSpend if you
don't have it already check my video
description I'll try to leave a referral
link there but I'm gonna go ahead and
open the app now alright I went in and
opened up the app and this is the login
screen I'm gonna go and use my touch ID
to login if you haven't registered that
yet you want to go ahead and put your
username and password if you're looking
to register your touch ID go back and
watch my other video on how to register
your NetSpend account with the touch ID
so I'm gonna login now alright so here
we are on the home screen this is my
account for NetSpend
and as you can see you can see various
transactions on here also you can look
at fee summaries that have billed on to
the card but we're not gonna worry about
that first off if you want to load money
onto your NetSpend account what you want
to do is click on this little button
right here it's these three lines this
will open up another drop-down menu I'm
gonna click there now alright so I went
ahead and click there and what you want
to do next if you want to load money
onto your net spend prepaid card let's
click right here move money I'm gonna
click there now alright so I went in and
click there and the first way that you
can add money is probably gonna be the
most popular and that's going to be
reloading cash green cash onto your
NetSpend card basically what you're
gonna do is you're going to go ahead
and go to a location with cash in hand
and if you want to find the locations
for reloading cash green cash on to your
net spend prepaid card what you want to
do is go ahead and click right here at
reload locations and a load a map let me
go ahead and click there now alright so
I went ahead and click there and then it
pulled up any kind of locations that are
near me so just kind of look for one
that's close to you so for example I'll
click on this one right here it's got
this little red icon alright once you
click there and then it shows the name
of the location the address the phone
number to that location you can text
message it to your phone send to your
email and that we have access to it
later and more importantly it does show
you that the reload fee is 395 so again
most of our 395 you can look at it in a
list function if you click right here
and then it pulls up all of the 10 local
locations to you and then at the
location you want to be sure to bring
your NetSpend card because they will
need that at the register because
they're going to scan it once they scan
it they're gonna charge you a fee it's
usually 395 plus however much you want
to load onto the card so for example if
you want to load $20 on to your NetSpend
card you do need to bring 2395 so 2395
that's how much you're gonna pay at the
register it places like 7-eleven CVS
just these national retailers once you
pay them then they're going to put $20
on to your account the 395 is usually
the locations reload fee it can vary but
I've seen a lot of them most of them are
395 if you know otherwise be sure to
leave a comment below but you can pretty
much plan on paying 395 for that service
so if you can load all of the cash at
one time that's gonna be in your best
interest for example if you're gonna
load $100 don't go back $20 $20 $20 just
go ahead and load the hundred dollars in
one transaction and that way it saves
you that 395 fee each time now if you're
gonna be using the card immediately just
keep in mind that once they load it at
the register and the transactions done
you have the receipt showing that you
paid the 2395 it's usually going to take
about 10 minutes for that money to be
available on your prepaid debit Visa
card so keep that in mind if you are
gonna make a transaction someone's
waiting for you just let them know it's
gonna be about 10 minutes before they
can swipe the credit card that's my
experience if you know otherwise
if it goes through a little bit quicker
for you be sure to leave me a comment
below let the rest of us know so that's
the first way that you can load money
onto your NetSpend prepaid card let me
go back here to the menu right here the
second way that you can load money onto
your prepaid NetSpend card is through a
bank transfer so this is my temporary
card I'm waiting for my personalized
card in the mail should be here in about
7 to 10 days but once that happens and
you activate the card you'll get access
to bank transfers so let me go and click
on that button right here it's right
below move money it's 1 2 3 lines down
below move money I'm gonna click there
now alright so I went in click there and
as you can see you do need to activate
your personalized card before you get
access to the bank transfer
but basically what you're gonna do is
once you click in there you can transfer
money from another bank account let's
say if you bank with Chase or Wells
Fargo or one of these typical banks you
can set up a connection between your
other bank and your NetSpend account and
the way that works is just follow the
prompts here once you click on bank
transfer and then you're gonna need the
information like your bank account or a
routing number for the other bank not
your NetSpend but for your other bank
and once you set that up usually you can
transfer that money through and that's a
pretty easy way to transfer money back
and forth between your NetSpend account
and also your other bank account so
that's the second way that you can fund
this account is with a bank transfer so
let me go back here to this menu button
I'm gonna click there now alright the
third way that you can fund your
NetSpend account is with a mobile check
load so again same thing you're gonna
need to wait for your personalized
NetSpend debit card once you get that
then you can have access to this feature
let me go and click on this alright so I
went ahead and click there and then same
thing as you can see I need to activate
my personalized card that I'm still
waiting on but once you get your
personalized card and then you activate
this feature basically what you can do
is sometimes employers still pay you
with a paper check for some reason or
maybe a family member gives you a check
with this feature what you can do is you
can just go ahead and deposit the check
on to your NetSpend account so that's
pretty convenient basically all you're
gonna do is just take a picture of the
front and back of that check and then
once it's deposited it would become
available on your NetSpend account so
that's kind of a neat feature if you get
paper checks from somewhere money orders
same thing and still deposit them
usually through NetSpend
on the photo feature as well just the
third way that you can fund your
NetSpend account let me go and go back
to the menu
all right the fourth way that I know how
to load money onto your net spend
prepaid debit card is by direct deposit
that's this line right here basically
what that is is if you work for a
company that allows you to get your
paycheck direct deposited which is most
companies these days you can set it up
on your net spend that way when you get
paid they just direct deposit it right
into your NetSpend account and that's
really convenient and what that does is
it avoids you from having to go to the
job to pick up your paycheck on Friday
also it helps avoid you having to go to
the bank or stand in line so what you
want to do there is you do need to wait
for your personalized debit card which
I'm still waiting for once you get that
and you activate your personalized debit
card just click on this button right
here it's called direct deposit I'm
gonna click there now I once you go
there then this screen pops up and
basically you will need to provide this
information to your employer it's going
to include your routing number for
NetSpend and your account number and
also the type of account which is a
checking account once they have that
information they can go ahead and set
you up with direct deposit just keep in
mind that direct deposit usually takes
about two to three pay cycles before
it's completely set up so you want to be
sure to set that up early in the
meantime they're usually gonna still pay
you with a paper check but once you get
that set up then that means when it's
payday they just direct deposit the
money right into your nest spend and
it's available immediately for you to
use on your prepaid debit card so that's
the four ways that I know how to load
money onto your prepaid debit card if
you know another way be sure to leave me
a comment below let the rest of us know
but hopefully you found that video
useful if so click thumbs up thanks for
