welcome back guys so today on this video
where you are talking about much orders
and more specifically I'm gonna show you
how to get a money order at 7-eleven so
let's go ahead and talk about this first
off guys if you're not familiar with
money orders brief rundown basically
they are similar to paper checks except
for they're a little bit more secure
they're harder to cancel that's why a
lot of times when you're paying for
things they don't accept paper checks
that they will take money orders because
in order to buy these money orders you
need to pay cash and then if you want to
cancel the money order after you send it
on it's not an easy process it's
actually kind of difficult but how do
you get a money order at 7-eleven that's
what we're going to talk about so I've
already went bought this money order
from 7-eleven right here in Los Angeles
as you can see and there's a couple of
things you need to know so we're gonna
go over about five different things to
look out for when you're going to buy a
money order at 7-eleven the first of
which is you do need to pay cash like I
said earlier so you need to pay green
cash so if you're going to be using us
to pay for rent or to buy something make
sure that you bring enough cash to
7-eleven to buy the money order well
because you cannot use a credit card you
cannot use a debit card or a paper check
you must buy it with cash also every
single 7-eleven I've ever been to does
sell money orders if you happen to know
of a 7-eleven that does not sell money
orders be sure to leave a comment below
let the rest of us know but as far as
I'm aware all of them sell money orders
so once you found a location and you
have your cash in hand for your money
order you want to know that they're
gonna charge you a fee in order to print
this check up they don't do it for free
so for example if you're gonna buy
something for $100 you're gonna need to
bring $100 in cash for your money order
plus the fee that 7-eleven is gonna
charge you 7-eleven is a little spendy
they charged me $5 actually $4.99 right
here as you can see for this particular
money order also money orders do have a
limit that you can put on it most of the
time that's going to be five hundred
dollars per money order so what that
means is that if you have to make a
large purchase like if you're buying a
car or something like that you may need
to buy multiple money orders and each
time you issue a money order they're
gonna charge you another $5 so if you're
buying something for say $3,000 and the
vendor that you use whether it's
7-eleven or West
or whatever let's say they charge $5 for
a money order and the maximum capacity
on each money order is 500 so for a
three thousand dollar purchase that
means that you could end up spending
thirty dollars a money order fees so
kind of keep that in mind when you're
shopping around for the best price on a
money order so once you have your cash
in hand you know the money or your
location for your 7-eleven and then you
know the fees go ahead and go to
7-eleven and you're going to go right to
the register there's not a separate
location once you're there at the
register you're going to tell the person
how much of the money order you want to
buy they will then tell you what the
fees are for each money order and how
much you owe
also some vendors do require photo ID
and order to buy a money order with this
particular 7-eleven they did not ask to
see my driver's license but if you saw
in some of the other videos some of the
locations do ask for ID so you might
want to keep that with you just in case
they ask it that way they don't turn you
away
once you've provided the money your
identification and the amount you're
gonna give it to them and then they're
gonna immediately print this off for you
as you can see the money order doesn't
say 7-eleven anywhere on it it's
actually issued by Western Union so I'm
assuming I guess they must be a partner
company or something like that
but it doesn't really matter to me they
gave me this particular sheet and this
is good as gold right from the beginning
but as soon as you get your funny order
you will want to write in this
information so right here pay to the
order of you'll want to fill out the
person who is receiving this money order
from 7-eleven from you that way if you
happen to drop this money order it's not
going to be easy for just any old random
Joe to cash your money order next you
want to put your address right here at
the bottom and then right here payment
for account you want to use the account
number that you're making a payment on
so if you're paying your electricity
bill you want to put your account number
right there next you'll want to go ahead
and sign right here on the bottom right
that's going to be your signature next
this paper is perforated right here in
the middle as you can see so you'll want
to rip that have and then the bottom
portion is for you to keep the top
portion is what you're gonna mail out to
whoever you're paying and if you flip
the money order over on the back there
is a signature line right here this
signature is not for you this is going
to be whoever is going to be receiving
this money order from 7-eleven also it
includes some more information so as you
can see right down here the person
you're giving this one border to they
can cash it at 7-eleven
but the maximum is $75 they would need
to contact customer service through
Western Union if it's more than 75 that
way they can know where they can catch
this money order ad and on the back of
your receipt function rank here it gives
a little bit of information for you to
fill out so this is just for your record
and if you happen to lose the money
order you won't want to follow these
directions on the back and it tells you
how you can get a refund for a lost or
stolen money order but keep in mind it's
not an easy process it says right here
it can't take 30 days for processing
because they need to research to see if
this money order was cashed so again
it's not a quick process would
definitely do not lose your money order
that you buy at 7-eleven so that's
pretty much it that is how you can buy a
money order at 7-eleven if you happen to
