welcome to the 3m order center this
short video will give you a quick tour
of the key areas of this site you're
most often use first enter your username
and password to access your account
click on one of these links if you
forgot neither or wish to reset them
you
you'll now be directed to the 3m order
center homepage and from here everything
you'll need to deal with 3m can be
accessed from this page you can quickly
navigate around the order center using
the tabs on the left hand side of the
page
and which ever paid you navigate to in
the order center these navigation tabs
will always be in the same place let's
start with the quick order tab first
select the product ID type you want to
order by will use the 3m short ID then
enter the 3m product code
and quantity
and click update to verify the product
description and price
you can now add other product if you
want
and if you change your mind you can
always remove them by clicking the
remove items box and clicking update if
you want to add them to the shopping
basket click here so you can carry on
ordering or to process the order click
the Express Checkout either of these
will also recalculate prices based on
your entire order now let's go to the
order status tab this is a useful way to
check the current status of recent
orders that have been entered on your
account whether they've been entered
directly by you or by other means such
as telephone orders
enter search criteria to search for
specific orders the more parameters you
enter the more specific the search will
be
the most common searches are by a
purchase order number or 3m order number
you can change the display options to
change the amount of information shown
in the display
if you click on the blue 3m order number
or invoice number it will open up the
details
this screen also lets you monitor order
status and in some cases track a
shipment
now let's go to the invoice status tab
this screen is dedicated to invoice
information rather than the general
information shown on the order status
screen
it displays recent invoices debit notes
and credit notes for your account this
screen also indicates the invoice due
date
although you'll still be sent invoices 3
or normal channels you can print off
specific invoices if you click the print
button
as with other screens you can enter
search criteria to search for specific
invoices or change the options
now let's jump to the inventory look up
tab this screen helps you check product
availability you just enter the required
quantity and then choose how you want to
search for the product
we'll use the 3m short ID
and click search
this will now update the screen to
you check the description of the product
now click on the check availability
button this will open a small window
which indicates the products
availability at today's date it's always
worth phoning customer service if the
product is shown as not being available
as they have more detailed information
about availability and may be able to
help locate stock for you if we now
click on the order Center Home tab we'll
look at a few more features of the site
always check the middle of the screen
for the latest 3m promotions news and
updates available to you on the right
hand side of the screen are links to
other websites
the distributor portal takes you to all
the tools available for our distributors
such as extranet EE Academy and this
order center website 3m co uk safety
takes you to our personal safety website
and watch 3m product videos takes you to
our YouTube channel the links under
downloads take you to the relevant
databases to get useful information such
as product pictures technical details
and price lists if you find you don't
have access to any of the sites you need
please request it via our customer
services
and finally at the bottom here we have
useful contacts if you need further
adviser information on anything from how
to use the other tabs on the 3m order
center menu to placing an order by
telephone just contact our customer
service helpline
