may i help you hi hank i got a
jumbo question for you because i got a
problem every night
my cousin brendan comes over
like on mondays and thursdays
and whenever we go to bed he can't fall
asleep
because he's afraid of the dark and
monsters
can you help me find a way to get him to
stop being afraid of the dark

there's a lot of scary stuff out there i
mean just thinking of how many different
things i'm afraid of is pretty scary
well it used to be scary now i keep a
list of the stuff i'm afraid of
i call it my table of hauntings and when
i've mastered one of my fears i scratch
it off the list
the day i scratch off my last fear is
the day i'll be afraid of nothing
i mean nothing won't be something that
scares me and i just mean i'll be really
brave
anyway check it out fear number one

overallophobic but look at me now

look let's get to the point number 709
the dark i was once afraid of the dark
just like your cousin but i figured out
a trick that solved that problem and
hopefully it'll solve his too
sunglasses now there's a reliable
solution
put on a pair in the morning and wear
them all day then it'll be like it's
dark in the daytime
you can practice mastering your fear in
a safe environment and then when the sun
goes down just take off the glasses and
it'll be like nothing changed at all
but if you don't have any sunglasses or
you can't afford to buy a pair
just borrow a spaceship and fly to the
sun i'm sure it never gets dark there
but be sure to bring plenty of suntan
lotion anyway that gives you a couple
options
and don't forget you're looking at a guy
who's mastered 709 fears so
i'm pretty sure your cousin will fall
asleep without being afraid of the dark
as long as he can stay away from all
those
monsters
