make sure you hit that subscribe button
right now today I'm going to be giving
you some tips and tricks on how I broke
past my weight loss plateau and how I
kind of just push myself a little bit
closer to my goals and was able to start
seeing results finally I'm also gonna
give you guys some tools that you can
use at home to also break past and see
those results a little disclaimer as I
start this video off this video is not
made to make you feel like you can drop
5 pounds every single week sustainably
and that you're gonna see that kind of
progress every week it's a video to show
you guys that little things that you do
everyday do affect whether you're
gaining or losing weight more than just
exercise and eating rights there are a
few other things that come into play
that either hinder you or allow you to
reach your goals for those of you who
are new to my channel don't know
anything about me I'm gonna give you a
little bit of background and then I'm
going to jump right into the tips and
tricks and then as well as the tool that
you can use at home 9 weeks ago I had a
little baby boy his name is Kaizen he
was born via c-section and that was
really unexpected for me I'm
expecting to how the vaginal burn
fortunately it wasn't an emergency
c-section but it was a very tough
recovery I did in the first five weeks
lose pretty much a good probably almost
all of the water weight that I had
gained as well as my uterus came down so
I was kind of like at five or six weeks
it was kind of a starting point for like
weight loss but I still had a hold on a
weight that I had gained during my
pregnancy to lose a lot of people during
my pregnancy told me that all the
weights just gonna fall off because you
are breastfeeding and breastfeeding
burns a lot of calories so it's just
gonna fall off don't worry about it you
don't have to do anything extra you're
good so I expected that the three weeks
after that was six weeks when I lost the
water weight my weight was staying the
exact same I would step on the scale
week by week and my weight would stay
the same and I'm like what is going on I
started exercising at six weeks when I
was cleared by my doctor I started
eating really healthy I wasn't eating it
nearly as many snacks as I was eating
while I was pregnant I was eating whole
foods I was feeling good and I was like
why does his weight not coming off and I
only recently realized that there is
this hormone called prolactin that
actually makes your body hold on to fat
while you're breastfeeding so that your
body has enough to give to the baby
you guys are hold on to weight or you
gain weight some people see that they
they lose a lot of weight from
breastfeeding others are like what the
hell I'm gaining weight I'm doing
everything right what is going on
prolactin girl prolactin if you are not
pregnancy or postpartum this part was
also for you just to know that your
weight is it staying the same if you're
not really seeing any results or even if
you're starting to see bodily results
like you're starting to shape up and
tone up but you're not seeing
progress on this scale this video
scroogie fans the conclusion that I came
to after the three weeks of my weight
staying the same was hmm what is it
possibly that I'm doing wrong because I
was sleeping pretty well cousin now gets
up one time a night maybe two times and
that's pretty much the same as when I
was pregnant so I'm like I'm sleeping
well I'm eating well I'm exercising
every day what could I be doing wrong
then I started thinking about the sweets
that I've been having it's not like I've
been going over the top with my sweets I
just like to have sweets here and there
and not only sweets bread donuts flying
a lot of the foods that I was eating had
sugar hidden in the ingredients so I was
like hmm maybe I should try cutting out
all refined sugars for a week and see if
that makes a difference
best decision there are a few other
things than I did during that one week
that I lost that five pounds two that
really helped these are the five things
so the first thing that I did that was
really important and helps me eat less
sugars was drinking more water
I got a gallon water bottle from Amazon
I'm just gonna show here that I filled
up every morning first thing in the
morning and I've been doing this for two
weeks prior so it's pretty used to it
and it kind of gives me little notches
on throughout the day where I should be
at in terms of how much water I should
be drinking so I was doing that every
day that curbed my sugar cravings a
whole lot and allowed me to just really
enjoy the whole foods that I was eating
the second thing that I did was I slept
at least seven hours a night now that
wasn't exactly easy with a newborn
kaizen he has been
we meet like I said he's been sleeping
pretty much throughout the night he'll
get up once or twice but on those nights
where he would get it more or I had to
feed him more I would just sleep in a
little bit longer to allow myself to
have that full rest and if I wasn't able
to sleep in I would have a nap during
the day 30 minutes an hour that'll do
that actually resets your hormones and
allows your body to decide I'm gonna
lose weight when you get more sleep it
also helps with curbing your sugar
cravings when you're sleepy you're kind
of looking for an immediate source of
energy and so sugar is one of the
easiest things and the fastest methods
of delivery to your body that can give
you energy but it's not the right kind
of energy you want the third thing I
kind of mentioned earlier was eating
whole foods and exercising that meant
not having breads not having cereals not
having my granolas stuff like that that
could have hidden sugars and refined
sugars so Brad believe it or not when it
goes into your body its received as
candy it's the same kind of energy same
way is broken down and used I cut that
out I ate more Whole Foods like quinoa
sweet potato I would have less starchy
vegetables and I would have more things
that are gonna fill me up and when I
wanted that sugar I would have fruit
like an apple or some grapes or
something that is a little bit less
simple as a refined sugar one of my
biggest things that I would do was skip
every day if I didn't have enough time
to do a full 40 minute workout I would
do 15 10 15 20 minutes tops
of skipping and that really helped me
get my body moving and also reminded me
like I'm doing this for a reason stop
eating sugar you're gonna be fine
without it the fourth thing I did was I
took a five-step approach so when I
wanted sugar the first thing that I
would do was one drink a cup of water
and then after I drank that cup of water
I wait 10 15 minutes if I still wanted
sugar I would have a piece of fruit I
would eat that piece of fruit and then
if I still wanted sugar I would wait 20
more minutes I still wanted sugar after
those 20 minutes I would have a cup of
tea peppermint tea is the best for
actually curbing cravings
I still want to sugar after that cup of
tea I would either if it was during the
day I would have a nap or if it was at
night I would go to bed and that you
should be if I woke up the next morning
with another sugar craving I would
probably just have a little bit of sugar
that five-step approach really helped me
approach sugars differently if I really
wanted a donar if I really wanted a
sugary Starbuzz strength I would do that
five-step approach and usually by step 3
I'd be like okay I don't need this let's
move on and not really help me get
through the week I got through six
babies or seven days of eating no sugar
and I lost five pounds during that the
final thing and the most important thing
something that you guys can take home
this actually kind of encompasses all
the tips that I gave to you guys is a
workbook I was able to track maybe 10 15
minutes a day I would write down how I
felt the energy that I had how much
water I drank how much I slept and then
I also helped internalize this habit and
it actually allowed me to bring it into
the next week and continue and make it a
lifestyle rather than just going back to
eating sugar
all the time the 30-day workbook it
gives you 30 days of tracking everything
and I created this for you guys so that
you guys could have a tangible thing
that you can print out and use on a
daily basis some of the pages in there
you can stick around your house to put
on the mirror in your bathroom or put it
on the fridge and you can track and make
sure that you're keeping yourself
accountable
I find that and it's actually
scientifically proven that writing
things down is going to help make it
more firm in your brain and create
better habits and actually reach goals
faster it has 20 pages each of the pages
allows you to go to journaling it allows
you to track your water track your
exercise track what base your skip sugar
this is gonna help you lose weight in
the long run it may be in the first week
you won't lose five pounds but you may
lose two three pounds and see that
progress after not seeing a lot of
progress in the last few weeks or in the
last few months so if you guys want to
get that journal that workbook make sure
you check out the link in my description
it's only seven dollars super easy to
use and it's gonna help you see progress
and perhaps even lose five pounds in six
days like I did if you enjoyed this
