Need up to 30 seconds to load.
on youtube videos on certain topics can
be anywhere from a few seconds to a
couple of hours long if you just want to
link a certain relevant portion of a
video here's what you can do

if you have your desktop browser already
open head over to youtube
then search for and open the video you
want to share
once the video has loaded pause it then
mouse over your playback bar and drag it
to set it where you want your link to
start playing
once your timestamp is set click on
share
on the window that pops up click on the
box next to start at to modify the link
above to start at your set timestamp
if you already have a specific timestamp
in mind you can opt to edit the start
time listed and type in the timestamp
once it's set click on copy next to the
link above and share or post it to where
it's needed
note that as of recording the feature is
currently unavailable on the app and
mobile browser interface though you can
set the start time manually by editing
the url
once you've opened the video you want to
share tap on the share icon and opt to
copy the link
once your sharing link has been copied
paste it into your mobile browser's
address bar or enter your notes app
from here place your cursor at the end
of the url and type in question mark t
equals sign followed by the number of
seconds you want to skip from the start
for example to get the video to start at
two minutes and two seconds you'll need
to add question mark t
equals sign one two two once you've made
your necessary edits copy the entire
thing and feel free to share it or post
it to where it's needed
