ok so I have here my new JBL flip 5
wireless Bluetooth speaker and you may
have the same one here which has this
capability of connecting them to other
speakers so that you can play them in
the stereo or this party mode and so now
I also have you my older JBL flip for
this previous model here so and now you
may have the same situation where you
have to flip five and the flip four and
you know you were thinking I know let's
just connect these two together and
you're trying to figure out how that's
done so uh let me give you the short and
the hard answer here and that is you
can't do that
so in case you're are done with that
answer and you just want to shut off the
video then go ahead and so now I'm going
to explain a little more here about the
background of that and so now here if
you look at the JBL flip five that has
you this symbol here to connect to a
different speaker and they call this
here the JBL party boost so party boost
is this format that or this protocol
that JBL uses for the flip five I think
I believe right now this is your the
only speaker that supports this format
and so now here the flip for what this
is using is here if you look at the I
can hear this is the connect
plus so this year that you'll connect
icon and then connect plus this is the
new protocol that they were using with
the flip four and they actually JBL
actually had a lot of other speakers
that supports this connect plus so I
have here my charge for that has the
same thing here let me see where the
icon is
so you have to charge for that has also
here the connect plus icon symbol here
alright so you connect can connect the
flip for with a charge for and then here
I have Maia extreme to which also has
the connect plus symbol here yeah so
this is the extreme to the extreme one
or just the extreme the first model that
one just supports the JBL connect which
is not compatible with product plus so
that's also not a good thing that's
something where they change the total
call so now if we go back here so we
have all these three speakers here flip
for charge for then the extreme to
relief there's also the JBL pulse or
pulse two or three whatever number they
have right now that is also compatible
with the connect plus and so on all
right now only the flip five is the one
that doesn't support this so in case you
do have a flip for already and you're
thinking about buying a flip five then
what I would do is actually go and buy
another flip four which is actually
cheaper right now so you can get that
pretty cheap on sale at the moment while
it's still in the stores and maybe you
want to skip the flip five because it
does have these JBL party boosts which
is not compatible with the connect plus
and you cannot pair these two together
to go into party mode or stereo mode so
yeah so this is it yeah you cannot
connect flip for with a flip five okay
