hey everyone in this video i want to
show you how to link your instagram page
to your facebook page and this has two
very important benefits you could
actually post to instagram on the
instagram app and share that post
directly to facebook once you link them
and more importantly you could run ads
using the facebook ad platform on
instagram instead of just relying on
what instagram has built into it so you
do have to connect a facebook business
page and instagram business page in
order to do that first let me show you
how the first thing that was pretty
confusing for me is you have to make
sure whatever profile you want to
connect to a facebook page is a business
profile let me show you where to find
that go to your profile page on
instagram press the three lines right
here and go to settings and if you go
down to account here on the very bottom
of the page it says switch account type
let me go ahead and switch
and if you're under personal or creator
in my case i'm on creator
i have to switch to business there is no
way to connect a personal account or a
creator account to a facebook page so
i'm going to go ahead and switch to
business here and go through the process
okay so now we switch to business now
let me go back to my profile now nothing
has changed i do get some other ad tools
and things like that and i get better
insights with a business account but i'm
going to press edit profile now
and over here under pages see i tried to
do this before and it wouldn't let me
because i didn't have the right
account type but if i click here now i
could either create a business page if
you don't have one this will create one
for you using whatever name is
associated with this instagram account
or connect to existing one i already
made this facebook page so i don't want
to create a new one i want to connect to
the one i made already if you haven't
made a facebook page yet though make
sure you create one at facebook.com and
again it says this is optional but you
could cross post and you could do better
ad promotion and you get shopping tools
i'm gonna go ahead and log in i'm gonna
continue here on this page again i'm
logged into my facebook account on this
phone and here i do have other accounts
that i've linked in the same exact way
with different profiles but i do want to
press continue here you could read more
about this and then press add and if you
have multiple different facebook pages
it might pull up those different
facebook pages so some of these other
ones i have are connected to a different
instagram account in this case i want to
add this facebook page to this instagram
account again you could create a new one
from here i'm going to press done and
then i'm gonna press done one more time
you could see now that page has been
linked up over here so if i press done
my facebook page and my instagram page
are connected so now i could use the ad
platform on facebook
and run ads on facebook and instagram
and if i post anything
you could see now on the bottom of the
post page i could choose facebook here
and it will automatically share this to
facebook as well as instagram a great
way to cross post without posting twice
on two platforms
