hello mellitus in this tutorial you will

learn how to need a bad wind sweater

step by step this is a free knitting

pattern made of cotton yarn light and

loose ideal for summer the sweater is

also long enough to cover the hips I

designed this pattern in three sizes

SML all of them easy to modify this is a

tough to cuff construction and you will

find all four Friedan details in my

website so wooly dotnet there is a link

on the description box below this video

for this project you will need five and

six point five millimeter knitting

needles cotton yarn number three TK or

light worsted weight and two murders

before you start please please check

your gauge using the six point five

millimeter knitting needles and

stockinette stitch ten by ten

centimeters equals 13 stitches and 22

rows so take your five millimeter or ush

knitting needles and test on 36 stitches

for the curve we are going to knit four

rows in one by one drip stitch all the

rows are the same

starting with net one four one and

repeat net one for one

and in with knit one purl one the second

crow is the same we start with net one

per one and repeat to the end of the row

and then we will need the third and the

fourth row now that we have four rows in

one by one drip stitch we're going to

change to the six point five millimeter

knitting needles and we're going to knit

every other row increase in one stitch

at the beginning and purl ever even Pro

you've recognized the other rows because

to adjourn coming from the cast on is on

the right side of your work so first and

every other row knit one and knit one

front and back so you have increased one

stitch and keep knitting to the end of

the row

change to the other larger needle and

for every stage this is a rest roll we

are not going to increase here just for

every stitch

so keep meeting these last two rows

until you reach the number of stitches

required for your size I'm meeting the L

size so I will repeat these two rows

until I have 66 stitches in total ending

with a wrong side row

okay I have been knitting now I 66

stitches just increased 30 stitches and

this is the first sleeve you will need

two markers in two different colors now

we are going to increase 30 stitches for

the body of our sweater so Ned one give

it a twist and put it back on the

left-hand needle and repeat we have

increased one net one giving twist and

pull it back

we have increased two and keep doing

this until you have increased 30

stitches now we are going to knit the 30

stitches we just increased this is the

part that we cover the hips and we will

be doing a Carter rib stitch that is

real simple just combinations of knit

and purl rows

okay now we have increased their

distances we're going to place the first

marker why do we need the markers

because her work will have three

different sections first the one that

covered the hips second of the one that

is made it in laces teacher trellis

stitch and the third part just six

stitches to create the neckline that we

will always knit in garter stitch that

means need every stitch of every bro I

don't really need it the back of the

sweater front and back are the same so

here you have this is the part that

covered the hips needed in garter drip

state then comes the trellis stage the

lace part and then the six stitches for

the neckline originally I just made two

stitches but I think six will look

better so now comes the first row of the

trails stitch and it's raised just two

rows first row knit two yarn over slip

one net wise net the following and pass

the one that you slipped over that's a

repeat that's everything you need to do

net two yarn over slip one knit the

following and pass the stitch over

repeat these steps until there are only

six stitches left

if you need to continental style net to

yarn over slip one knit one and pass the

stitch over let's do it again knit two

yarn over slip one knit one and pass the

stitch over so now there are only six

stitches left place the second marker

and meet the six stitches from now on

you will need these six stitches in

every row this is the neckline so second

row knit six slip the marker and now

comes the repeat of the trace stitch

purl two yarn over purl two together

that's it purl two yarn over purl two

together if you need continental purl

two yarn over purl two together purl two

yarn over purl two together and repeat

until you reach the next marker

okay now sleep the sake of marker and

now comes the second row of the Garter

rib stitch these are only four rows that

you will find on the written

instructions remember you have the link

below this video on the description box

so the second row of the Garter rib

stitch is poor every stitch so keep

purling to the end of the row

okay we have made two rows of the four

we need to keep repeating so the third

row will be poor to the marker meet

again the first row of the trade stitch

and knit the six stitches and the four

Row is net six make the second row of

the trade stitch and knit to end these

four rows that are on the written

instructions will be repeated until you

reach the desired length regard for your

size then we will bind up the 30

stitches and start decreasing to form

the other sleeve now we will bind off

the 30 stitches we increase toward the

hips net wise so knit one and pass the

stitch over knit one pass the stitch

over and repeat

[Music]

now take off the marker we won't need

them anymore and knit the entire row to

the end from now on we're going to need

the earth crows and poor even rose and

we won't be doing the garter stitch for

the neckline anymore just knit and purl

next row pearl ever stage

okay on the next row we are facing the

right side of the work again and from

now on we will do the opposite as we did

when we started we will decrease one

stitch at the beginning of every odd row

right side of the work and we will pour

the even rows these are rest rows so net

one and knit two together we have

decreased one stitch if unit continental

net1 net

and keep meeting to the end possible the

following drone is a restroom just pork

every stitch and repeat these two rows

until you have 36 stitches again okay I

have 36 stitches again and now we are

going to change to the smaller needle

and to the four rows in one by one trip

stage starting with net one for one and

repeat net one for one net one for one

end in with net one per one change to

the other smaller needle and knit the

knits and poor of the ports when you see

the V that's a neat a stage when you see

the bunk

that's a purl stitch so knit for

net poor remember the four rows are

exactly the same after these four rows

in one by one trick stage we're going to

bind off and work every stage as it

presents so knit purl and pass the

stitch over net and pass the stitch over

rapport and pass the stitch over and

repeat

now that you have the two pieces find

the center of each piece front and back

and place a marker

with one piece against the other facing

the right side of the work on each part

and measure from the center around 15

centimeters to the left and to the right

so these will be the neck and place

another marker okay here I have the

center marked and then the 15

centimeters from the center we will be

joining from here to the cuff remember

both pieces need to be on the right side

of the work leave a little bit of detail

that we will hide afterwards and the

first thing we have to do is to join one

side to the other

pulling the yarn or your darning needle

below this little bumps from side to

side that's a nice way to join two

fabrics needed in garter stitch to

remember look for the most external

bumps on each side and pull the yarn

through when you get to the stockinette

stitch section the technique changes a

little bit you need to find little

horizontal bars between the first stitch

and the second on each side

sometimes you have to stretch the fabric

a little bit to see them better so just

pull the yarn through these little bars

and keep doing this until you get to the

gut

now it's time to join the site both

parts that cover the hips also facing

the right side of the work and first

we're going to join the corners the most

exterior part do it again

and now we're going to pull the jar

underneath is V in one side

and underneath the V on the opposite

side and repeat

[Music]

[Music]

when you get to the ladies section we

will be pulling the jar through these

little bees on each side as well and

remember stretch the fabric so you can

see them better

and that's it the only thing you need to

do now is to join the other side doing

exactly the same and you have a bad wing

beautiful lace sweater
