Sharing buttons:

hello everyone today I want to show you

how to knit a headband with a twist the

twist is actually a great way to hide

the scene this headband is knit in the

English rib back and forth for this

project I'm using a light ørsted yarn

and the 3.5 millimeter knitting needles

you can find all the information in the

description box below let's begin

loosely cast on 30 stitches I'm using

the longtail cast on method and I'm

casting on over two needles

the first row is our foundation row so

we're going to yarn over slip one stitch

purlwise knit two together

and repeat yarn over slip one knit two

together continue repeating until the

end of the row

and world 2 is very similar to row 1 you

will be following the same pattern so

it's yarn over slip one stitch purlwise

knit two together once again yarn over

slip 1 purlwise knit two together

continue repeating until the end of the

row and when the second row is finished

you're just going to repeat the pattern

for another 50 centimeters or that's

nineteen point five inches

you

when you're finished with the band we

can bind off we're going to bind up

loosely and I'm going to Co purl the

purl stitches and B yarn overs and I'm

going to knit the knit stitches so let's

begin we're going to purl the first

stitch

proba yarn over and when we have two

stitches on the right needle we're going

to insert the left needle into the first

stitch and bring it over the second one

now we're going to knit the knit stitch

and again bring the first stitch over

the second one next one is the purl

stitch so we're purling that I'm

bringing the first stitch over the

second one and you're just going to

repeat that till the end of the row

when you're finished cut the yarn

leaving a 40 centimeter long tail that's

about 12 inches and fold the tail for

that last stitch

now let's form the twist away your bend

down and fold it in half bring the edges

closer together

rotate one of the edges

and now we're going to make a sandwich

we're going to open up those edges a

little bit and we're going to insert one

of the edges into the other one

straighten everything and we can sell

the edges together

with the yarn tail and the needle stitch

through all the four layers of our

headband the seams going to be hidden

inside the headband so of course be

accurate but you don't have to be

perfect so you just go down and then you

go back up

this is how the finished seam looks like

and when you turn your headband the

right side out then you have your twist

now it's love to we leaned the end wash

your husband and flat dry it on a towel
