welcome back to another install video
this one is for the Great War mod
version 6.1 so uh if you've been with my
channel for a while you know I'm kind of
just jumping back into YouTube
um and uh I am seeing that they've
updated this mod this world war one mod
for Napoleon Total War so uh let us uh
let's do this it's a really fun mod if
you haven't played this this is probably
like top top three best mods for Total
War period for the franchise overall so
highly recommend it
um it's also not too difficult to
install it either so
what you're going to want to do is just
honestly type in the Great War mod onto
Google and you know modb and it should
come up
um and you're going to want to go to
files and then click on the Great War
mod 6.1 beta this isn't going to include
the new soundtrack just the beta
so you're going to click download now
all right you will need WinRAR all right
so keep that in mind
to
downsize this
to delete this
the wind where I was right here okay
yeah Winery is like a file unpacker so
you will need that some people use 7-Zip
I just use winner it's never it's never
failed me wrong since
um okay so I'm gonna follow the
direction so I'm sure that you could
um just extract it to a specified folder
but the directions I I typically always
follow the directions whether or not
there's workarounds or not just because
I feel like the devs know best so
what you're going to do is um copy this
or just drag it onto your desktop so
I've already done that up here obviously
and it's going to you know move
everything
desktop okay then you're going to open
up the folder oh see mine's empty
because I've already done this so let me
actually let me actually go back and
actually this works out so delete this
so let me drag it right here
okay
and see it's going to take it's going to
take a minute or two to transfer
everything over
all right
perfect so now you can open up the
folder okay so you'll see that you have
a 6.1 folder okay with data and you
should see data in it okay so what
you're going to want to do this is
pretty much that was pretty much the
difficult part that was really it
um is you're going to copy it or I
should say it says drag it the
directions say to drag it into your
Medieval 2 folder so drag it like that
and drop it on in okay once you do that
okay you should see
um this is pretty much what it should
look like all right see data
okay
and then you should see Great War
okay logs all that sort of stuff
campaign Maps okay
campaigns here so that's really all you
need to do again I'm sure that you can
just use WinRAR and extract it to the
Napoleon folder but you know probably
probably always best to just follow the
directions so the launcher is in the
Great War folder
all right so you're going to I always
run as administrator just because why
not and um
here's this launcher okay of the game
you can change the mod settings or the
settings of the mod in the launcher if
you'd like I didn't change anything just
because I was fine with how they were
and you can launch the bot and here you
are it is the Great War mod okay the
main screen so there are campaigns as
always so again highly recommend
checking this out it's it's it really is
an amazing mod you'll have so much fun
with it I did a few Let's Plays with it
like a year or two ago aspirin and as
Russia I don't believe I finished that
maybe maybe one day I'll I can't
retrieve the files but maybe I'll just
watch my Let's Plays get to where I was
and then just keep on going to 1918
that'd be kind of fun
