like you today we're going to fit one of
the oldest mods on a car which is a
promise everyone we're going to do it on
this golf is the filler the cotton gauze
filler it's a good quality one let's get
started
your idea is feeling a performance air
to replace to stand an air box now you
find this is quite restrictive and it's
designed to cut all the noise in the
cabin this will give lovely induction
hood and going some more power during a
job like this is really simple all you
need a few spanners screwdriver and
sponsor so basic hand tools there
everybody's gone before we start ripping
out this air box we have to make sure we
do to help the safety bit and that means
removing the negative post on the
battery really simple on a go Tim little
socket once that's off just making sure
without shock yourselves first things
first let's get the air box out it's
normally a big pile of bolts and screws
you need to remove all these we can get
a whole lot out of the car once you've
removed all your bolts and screws take
out of standard air bolts me as you can
see underneath this is a standard panel
here this is a type of thing that they
will change when you're service-based a
type of thing we want to get rid of now
the last piece is puzzle putting out
tighten with a standard air box standing
that either basic premise its tightness
filler you put on in when I'm most
pretty important things the whole
operation is this which is the mass
airflow meter what this does is when
more air comes into the engine this
picks it up sends it to the engines
computer and a computer says quick
there's more air coming in let's stick
into more fuel you need to keep this bit
it's electrical just make sure you don't
touch any electrical workings inside
what we need to do take this off the
standard air box lid and then put it
back onto the car
now we've got the mass airflow sensor
it's just a case putting on the filter
putting it back on the car let's get on
with it once you light up where you need
to be just tighten the clips and after
that just plug in the mass airflow
sensor and it should be raring to go
before you finish one thing you need to
do stop all this other stuff it's all
the good quality kids come on fracking
light it what happen is hold it all nice
and secure so there be no messing around
when you don't rain corners what the
battle nice is secure recreate the
battery think start off yeah she sounds
got loved that induction boys should get
a few more horsepower out of it as well
