this country we got this fancy cabin
here she's a little unexpected but um I
think we're gonna just kind of explore
this valley a little bit and see if we
can find some gone there's lots of glass
and now yeah just kind of pick it apart
see what we figure out where the best
Glasson is if we need to get up and look
off the other side Oh in this valley a
little bit better I mean we got some
tussocks on this side yeah there's grass
up there but that stains deep this is
one of those places were probably not
gonna see a lot but we may see a giant
this is ridiculous yeah
this side is gnarly how you find him in
there you have to get him out when
they're feeding yeah this is real he's
like the only spot I can tell they get
up on the top here but this prick bet is
pretty rough just can't get away from it
it's rocky and pit
well so far we have not seen at our you
did hike ourselves a little Canyon here
you can follow this creek bed up and get
in this cool spots but on it's gonna be
really tough finding tar in this it's
pretty gnarly up there
it was dark and all of a sudden Sun
check that out

bright all of a sudden in the valley
like reflecting you can kind of tweak
the little fire starter thing get a
better spark
they got smashed down oh it just got

I looked over and I saw those Mallos
today oh I got like four bags inside I
brought one last time I almost bought
one REI I worked in my Nan's los
changing out that bull beeping pad a
bulk order oh yeah I brought him for you
and Luke sure you did I did uh-huh I
brought I brought enough that I could I
should say I brought enough that I could
share with you and like I really didn't
like sharing with you and lost that one
you only had one bag it's time you're
crying this time I got like it I got
four bags for sixteen just enough so I
didn't hurt so bad when you had to share
yeah they didn't weigh that much
you know they're like a featherweight
but they were delicious
specially on that yeah well that trip
was grueling we'll see how this one
shapes up yeah yeah we got some miles to
put on to catch up with that one I just
this country doesn't lend itself to
moving that far that quickly it's hard
to go just put the car and run to the
top of this hill it's got obstacles but
maybe there'll be a spot up canyon where
we can shoot up I think our plan is hit
that slope mm-hmm go up it glass this
entire Ridge to our Oh No
and then put some critters on glass
tomorrow yeah if we don't then I guess
we either hike the pass mm-hmm or go
down to the bottom hike around yeah I
kind of leaned toward hiking around just
because it's pretty good down there you
can glass so much country from down
there
mm-hmm level the route with all this
snow all these critters yeah yeah well I
see my first try when you jack
because I spoiled last time like every
guitar everywhere yeah this is not the
same not the same I know it's only we'll
hit that other Creek bottom mmm and
they'll just blah would be like the
valley of the top are loaded yeah I can
see that
absolutely okay my slumber is kicking in
my friend know so I need to move not
much room you guys are rude you move

right I'm in there I fall down little no
matter my breaks no bones yeah I'm gonna
punch right through that wall no it's
there more room down here than up there
I don't know should be the same width
right it's um I know if there are
spiders they won't come right across my
face right here but I'm 510 and you know
hey you know I already saved everyone
from the spiders foot I like I was like
a hero risking life and limb you're like

me right now I'm gonna make it up there
let me all cramped up in the morning my
legs not stretch now but that's alright
last time I slept with no pad
and I feel a solid man
so the morning plan is eat a little
breakfast and go climb up the opposite
hill to look back onto this hill and see
if we can find some tar we didn't find
them last night I mean it's really thick
so we got to get a little bit better van
engine get over there to look back over
here it's just too tough to see them
when we're on the same side so that's
our morning plan gonna make some hot
water for the hill you got a little
insulated bottle yes right I was thought
you know I'd be drinking and from across
the valley it'll reflect in the big 200
inch block sees it you know can I die
sometime I thought you know what I'm
going for the greenish camel covered I
see you take your hat off on a kid let
me worry about that that was low that
was alone
so we been glass and the crud out of
this mountain for a long time
figured we'd come up here a couple
hundred feet elevation to glass back on
ya the mountains that we were couldn't
quite look up into from our side so we
got a pretty good vantage here perfect
day for it we've got clear skies a
little bit of a breeze but haven't seen
any tracks and just get the feeling that
with this snow a couple feet of snow
that blanketed this place while back we
may have had a mass exodus of this place
because it is pretty void of anything
track wise pretty pretty grim up here
right now
I think we're gonna head down Valley try
to find some new areas put our camp on
our back and just go put some miles on
them try to find an area where there
might be some tar this this whole valley
right now feels pretty dead well we've
been glass in here making our way out of
this Canyon it's interesting like a
month ago somebody saw some couple of
stags in here red stags so who knows
what we'll find this is amazing so far
just incredible country we're gonna
glass it a little bit more see some
tracks going along this slope side hill
and so we just been picking out through
these little pockets see if we can see
something in there but I'm actually glad
we haven't found the tar yet honestly I
like it better when you don't see
anything on the first day or the second
day or the third day so when you do see
one you feel like you worked for it and
that it was hard not that it just came
easy it looks like we're gonna earn it
you see a live animal see an actual live
and two of them see the Sun line is go
up about
and thanks with your from left to right
of this Russian serial rock sure with
the white on top

follow it up to right and center back up
there we go bang yes those are so pretty
driving I'll get that 400 out let's film

that we check alright so yeah open down
this draw just to look at some new
country and we finally picked up our
first animals you got a bunch of chamois
there's at least five picked up to you
right away and then three more stood up
just a minute ago there's such a sweet
like an animal they'd have that white
face look down saw a couple big bucks in
their suits we're just watching their
480 yards away from there and I get a
little video of them but I'm not sure
how they were on to us just us walking
down this valley not far away I mean
they picked us up like that but they're
back to feeding right now so it's gonna
be a tough play but we got to make it
it's pretty cool first animals
well we've got five chamois on this
opposite hillside there a little ways
off the 480 arch so what we're gonna try
to do let's cut the distance lotta ways
see if we can't get to within at least
300 we're gonna get down into this creek
bed and try to keep a visual up in those
rocks and see if we can make a play
before the Sun Goes Away but we seem to
be pretty comfortable right and that a
rockslide
little patch patch of green so hopefully
we can get fairly close get a shot
range

much where those rocks are

it should drop about six or seven inches
at 300 at far-out great you're gonna be

little bit almost perfectly broadside
and he just gave me a shot perfect it
looked perfect man when he was standing

we're gonna eat meat tonight I know it's
a nasty country getting up there is the
enemy with this scree killed
all right well we gotta skedaddle up
this hill because we're gonna lose the
light fast yeah we are
you got about 200 more yards where we
just got off the riverbed heading up to
the chamois and I'll be honest it's a
little dicey going up this hill it's
it's steep it's all fours holding on to
everything rush rocks trying not to
slide goes it's a long way to the bottom
it hurt a little bit
we just got to shimmy up these uh these
little shoots try to get up there but
it's steep
find him

was a steep hill one of the steeper

that is a good-looking animal

in the river bottom but they are tiny my
gosh I don't know if that's a big one or
not but it's the biggest bodied one over
the five 400 yards 400 yards on a mini

you've got to be kidding I was like he's

still standing I was surprised at that
with a 300 200 grain bullet 300 Win
that's crazy he was sat shot because
that's right period right through it
home and he was like stumbled down and
went about 20 feet I was still standing
but I just saw it just gushing out this
side and then it is fell but it stayed
standing way longer than I expected
Shamy chamois hide we got this thing
skinned out it's not a whole lot of
weight to it but really thick thick hide
on it it's pretty sweet beautiful I'm
glad we kicked it took the hide it's
gonna be super cool
we've got a little trip to a cabin now
find the hut tonight cook up our sham be
looking forward to that being a
beautiful day I'm shocked at how pretty
that pink chamois coat is no thick it is
but I guess you know they're living in
these mountains like these tours so
they've got the coat for it it's a
beautiful animal we did it Brian lamb
purrs famous night hike here we are in
the cabin this thing is so much nicer
than the one we found last night
yesterday tiny cabin this thing has six
bunks long bunks so I'm not gonna be
trying to push my feet out the wall and
they're clean man these cabins are great
it's almost a little too nice supposed
to be roughing it I know I just it's
unreal like to fly in cabins like this
in this kind of country with these kind
of critters running around and it's all
to ourselves
yeah he's here hey doggies while the
country is you can imagine
get that thing it's unreal
such a cool little critter she does kind
of look it looks like an antelope loving
the eyes and stuff it's got the head of
an antelope you don't stoked and
tomorrow will poke her head out of this
cabin it looks like you can see this
hole the Holly up each side back there
and I think if we just walk out here we
can glass with the spotter back up the
valley toward the chamois where you
really have hammered that area looks
like they might want to come back out
and hit that again tomorrow
wells check see if they're in there we
might get back in there and get on
another chamois but do they have Bionic
vision these things worship they spotted
us from 5:50 away and they were on to us
the whole time we had two rifles we
probably could have shot two but Ryan
shot the biggest one on the group so
it's better that we just find another
one but yeah I mean I told you they were
little targets I couldn't tell
through the knockers and the because I'm
like little look pretty big I figured
he'd be like a hundred pounds at least
but no how much do you think you may be
not even close no idea but coues deer
small smaller Oh smaller than the coos
way smaller than that coos smaller than
your coos probably say everybody
maybe not got the same size as yours
yeah but what a cool coat right just
this yes thick so we got a little bit of
Johnny's pepper and we are putting that
on some chamois backstrap good
hotter
alright so I've never had the Ignite
citrus bliss as one of Ryan's favorites
I it's been out like a couple months
right so I love it
I didn't notice so here we go we're
gonna decide Luke says Tigers blood pink
lemonade and citrus bliss he thinks are
like the top flavors see I I say citrus
to us and painting a lot of snow
I do like yeah I like coconut I think
chamois and citrus bliss are gonna be
like pow no okay here's the first test
here oh yeah that's good that's good
it's all you're gonna have in from here
on out
Houston we're gonna have a problem so we
got some thin little strips of chamois
here we tried out some thicker cuts in
the beginning and they're a little bit
chewy so we went it super thin quick
cook with some Gianni's and that's about
as good as it gets when you say Brian
yeah I would say like for good I've
tried it that's potato I try to really
raw with this super thin sliced Tim
strip just like boom boom beachside
cooked a little bit I put some a little
bit on honey's on there at all yeah and
it's literally like it just comes apart
in your mouth it's perfect that's the
way to cook it man that's hard to beat
mm-hmm there's not like a gaming this to
it too much no I don't know I got a
feeling we're gonna eat most of that
chamois while
because you thought the size of a
jackrabbit hit once you took the fur off
of that thing yeah it was like a little
Jackrabbit greyhound I said actually
it's not very big that's why it
surprised me that you didn't go down I
hit him in that 300 he didn't drop it he
just stood there
his lungs right out tough little critter
yeah how old it is what your guests will
figure out those rings I'm gonna say is
what our lifts our lifts to be what 14
15 15 16 I think if those rings or
anything any meters over a dozen rings
on there don't even want to guess I
don't know typically those rings do me
they are growth rings typically on goats
and you know it's got a pronounced hook
you know curved mm-hmm but more than 12
rings my guess is old
