Today on The Stay At Home Chef
I'm showing you how to make Honey Roasted Carrots.
Super simple and super delicious!
This is one of my favorite ways to eat carrots.
First thing you need to do is cut the tops off of your carrots
if you buy them with the tops still on.
And then I like to cut off all of those spiraly tips as well.
Give your carrots a good rinse under some cold water to rinse off any dirt and debris.
Once your carrots are all clean cut your carrots into 2 - 3 inch pieces,
and I like mine to be cut at a little bit of an angle so that they are nice and pretty,
but really of course it doesn't matter.
Once you get all of your carrots cut up transfer them all to a mixing bowl.
Mine are kind of rolling all over the place,
so we'll have to get them all in,
and then add in 3 tablespoons of melted butter, and just drizzle that over,
as well as 3 tablespoons of honey.
Honey is always just a little sticky to measure.
You can always use a little bit of nonstick cooking spray on your measuring utensils
so that the honey will slide right out.
Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper,
and then give this a toss so that all of the carrots get coated with that butter honey goodness.
Then spread your carrots out onto a lightly greased baking sheet in an even layer for roasting.
Now I like to make sure I scrape out all of that honey buttery goodness out of the bowl as well,
and get it onto the pan.
Next we're going to roast these in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
Or until your carrots are tender.
And then you're ready to eat!
