- Hi, I'm Kaiden.
- And I'm Izzy.
There's no need to go to a secret Government lab.
We're here to tell you all you need to know
to make secret spy gadgets in your very own home.
- Ooh, chips.
I'm so hungry.
- Oh, it's today's assignment from HQ.
Today's episode is all about hidden containers.
- Cool!
Oh wait, what does it say at the bottom?
- This message will self-destruct in five seconds!
- Ah!
(message exploding)
- [Both] Oh!
- I totally saved your life.
Now let's get started.
I'm gonna show you how to hide a USB flash drive
in plain site.
You're gonna need a small USB flash drive, a glue stick,
needle nose pliers, and super glue.
First, you're gonna need to take out the glue.
This is easy.
Just twist the bottom until the glue is all the way
at the top and then you can take out the glue.
Warning, your hands are gonna get a little sticky.
When your container's empty,
you can slip the USB drive inside.
You may need a pair of pliers to move the plastic part
in the middle to the side.
(lively music)
Now you need to test where you're gonna put your USB drive.
It needs to be high enough so you can connect it
to your computer,
but deep enough that you can still put on the lid.
Now it'll be hidden from view when not in use.
When you're happy with the placement,
add some glue to keep the USB securely in place.
(lively music)
Viola, now your flash drive is completely hidden
and all your secrets are safe.
- Nice work, Kaiden.
Now, here's a classic spy container that will be
the perfect place to hide that USB drive, a book.
To make this, you'll need the following items:
a larger hardcover book, pencil or pen,
scissors or utility knife, craft glue,
a cup, paint brush and a clamp.
First, you'll eed to find a thick hardcover book.
It needs to be thick enough to hold the hidden item inside.
This one will do nicely.
Next, open the first 10 or so pages of the book.
It might be easier to clamp
everything down at this point.
Put a large rectangular object in the center
of the open page and trace around it.
I'm going to use my phone.
(lively music)
Once you have the outline,
carefully use a utility knife and cut out the outline.
You'll need to cut a few pages at a time until the hole
is deep enough to fit the object.
You can always use scissors.
It'll just take longer.
Once you're sure the book will close over the object,
it's time to glue all the pages down.
This will ensure your hidden container doesn't fall apart.
So next, I'm gonna take craft glue and put it in a cup.
Next, take your paintbrush and dip it lightly into the cup.
Use a brush to coat all the edges.
(lively music)
Once it's dry, you've got the perfect container
to hide anything you need.
Well, there you have it!
The perfect containers for hiding anything.
Spies have to stay on the down low after all.
That's right...
What's on this anyway?
What?
You don't take silly selfies?
