Boils are bacterial skin infections that form in hair follicles and oil glands. And they usually
develop in regions of the body that experience friction or pressure, such as the face, armpits,
groin, shoulders, and the buttocks. And in this video we will look at some home
remedies that include natural ways you can speed up the recovery process for the boil
and hopefully get rid of it effectively. So you dont want to miss this. I encourage you to stay
tuned till the end to really get to know what you can do right NOW to get rid of boils altogether.
Hi guys, yaseen arsalan, media pharmacist here on youtube,
this channel is all about helping you make more informed decisions about your health and wellness,
and if thats something your into, take 2 seconds now to give this video a like to support my
channel and subscribe down below to not miss out on future videos. As many of you guys know, I
already made a video about 5 of the most effective ways to get rid of a boil that hit 400,000 views,
and I encourage you guys to watch that one after this. This video will look at 5 natural remedies
that are worth giving a try if you followed my previous tips and are still struggling to find out
what else I could possibly do to get rid of the boils, if in fact your boils are being stubborn.
And remember, one of the best remedies you can be doing with all of the ones i will mention is:
Apply a warm compress for 20 minutes at a time 4 times a day. And in between the warm compress,
see if you can fit in these natural remedies that im about to tell you.
Lets get straight into it and start with the first one being: Tea tree oil. The reason why is
because: Tea tree oil has strong antibacterial and antiseptic properties. And remember,
its bacteria that infect and then inflame the hair follicles which ends up causing boils. The cyclic
monoterpenes in the tea tree oil exhibit whats known as, broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity
related back to Terpinen-4-ol. Because The water-soluble components of tea tree
oil suppress pro-inflammatory mediator production of monocytes, and is the reason why tea tree oil
is used in athletes foot, nail fungus, and lice. But the tricky part is, if youve tried this,
you may have noticed it burning a little bit, so to really get the most out of it, mix it,
mix 5 drops of tea tree oil with a teaspoon of coconut oil. Once its all mixed in,
apply it on a cotton swab and apply it to the boil twice a day, until you see results.
Lets go onto the second option. Turmeric powder. Like tea tree oil, turmeric powder also has
antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The yellow component, known as curcumin, is whats
most likely going to work the most here, its anti-inflammatory properties are mediated
through its ability to stop cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), lipoxygenase (LOX), and inducible
nitric oxide synthase. If you stop these inflammatory processes from occurring,
you theoretically get less inflammation and help speed up getting rid of the boil. So to start:
I recommend to Pound a small amount of ginger in a mortar and pestle until it’s smooth,
then mix in the turmeric to form a paste. Then you can Apply this mixture to the boil twice a day,
until its gone. One thing here: the turmeric will temporarily color your skin an orangey-yellow
color, but hey, its worth it, if it works. Also guys, if you are enjoying the content
so far, please give it a like down below if you havent already, now lets get back to the video.
Now the third natural remedy is: Epsom salt. Otherwise known as magnesium sulfate heptahydrate.
Dissolve the Epsom salt in warm water and soak a compress in it. Once its thoroughly soaked,
Apply the compress to the area for 20 minutes, and repeat it 3 times a day. Youll notice right
away how soothing this can feel on your skin and some have found it helps calm the boil down.
The fourth remedy, and one that is often overlooked is castor oil. Castor oils
antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties are tied back to ricinoleic acid, which
soothes swelling and pain caused by inflammation. So if your boils are painful, try Applying a small
amount of castor oil directly to the boil at least three times a day until the boil is gone.
And lastly, a natural remedy that has all three, antiseptic, antibacterial, and antimicrobial.
What is it? Its Neem Oil, otherwise known as indian lilac. The active constituents in its
leaves is thought to relieve pain associated with boils by acting on prostaglandins, which control
inflammation and are powerful vasodilators. Neem oil is used widely in ayurvedic medicine,
and Modern research hypothezises that neem, in the future may be used much more widely.
So to really get the most out of it for boils, apply the oil directly to the boil
three to four times a day. And Make sure you wash your hands before and after using it.
And there you go, theres 5 of my favorite natural remedies you can try at home to hopefully speed up
the recovery of your boils. If you haven’t seen results after 5 to 7 days — or if the boil has
gotten larger, more painful, or started to show signs of infection — make an appointment with
your doctor. They may in fact need to drain the boil by lancing it, then prescribe antibiotics
to treat the underlying infection if its a larger issue. And make sure they test a sample of the pus
from the boil so you can get the right antibiotic for the right bacteria that is causing your boil.
