you mentioned that your baby gets
hiccups a lot and you're wondering if
there's anything you can do to stop them
hiccups are normal and actually they're
more annoying to parents than they are
the baby the baby really doesn't care
that they have them but if it happens
during feedings it can be a little bit
annoying and interrupts their ability to
eat so if your baby is eating and you
notice that they start hiccuping stop
the feeding and try burping them for a
few minutes and if that doesn't stop it
then maybe just hold your baby on your
lap and try to relax him or her give it
a few more minutes and if it hasn't
stopped out for about 10 minutes or so
latch your baby back on and at this
point that will usually stop it
but it's not a sign of anything bad and
there's no reason to be concerned about
it if you have any other questions or
concerns about your baby don't hesitate
to bring them up with your pediatrician
but if you have more questions for me in
the future feel free to ask them on our
Facebook page at facebook.com forward
slash Intermountain moms and recommend
us to your friends and family too
