okay welcome to our math session with me
Sarah green on how to find the area of a
right-angled triangle finding the area
of a right-angled triangle is very easy
there is a simple formula base x height
divided by 2 let's have a look at how it
works
here is a right-angled triangle the base
is 5 centimeters and the height is 6
centimeters take those two numbers and
multiply them together we get 30
centimeters squared now divide 30 by 2
the area of the triangle is 15
centimeters squared how does this work
any right-angled triangle can be turned
into a quadrilateral a four-sided shape
where the opposite sides are of equal
length to find the area of a
quadrilateral you simply multiply the
place by the height because our
triangles are half a rectangle we have
our answer simple isn't it so to find
the area of a right angle triangle
multiply the base by the height then
divide your answer by 2
