So one of my new year's resolutions was that when I observed something that was one of those like
"Oh my god" moments, I was gonna just record it right away. So here we have it. I'm recording it right away
The observation was: I was in a client's house. She has five cats
How did I know she had five cats before I even met the five cats?
I'll tell you it's because I walked into the kitchen and there were five bowls lined up in
a very perfectly straight line. Now is this this weird thing that just this one client did? No!
Everybody does it, we have been guilty of doing it. I'm sure in this house
It's not the right thing to do. Cats are territorial animals. We all know this, that is cat mojo 101
So the idea that they could all have their bowls on top of one another and they're all gonna eat it aligned...
When you think about it, we're probably victims of, like, cat commercials
that we saw when we were kids where all the cats run up together and at the same time put their heads in the
dish and eat like there's no tomorrow. Whatever that was that ain't life
Let's remember cats are territorial
animals defining territory in part just like we all do by the availability and the security of our food source.
Okay, then if we don't want cats to argue
We should probably not give them the easiest thing in the world to argue about which is food. Spread those bowls out.
Not just the kitchen, the dining room too, give these guys a little bit of private space
I mean listen, when you're in a restaurant and you had that choice to sit at that communal table or your own booth
I don't about you, but I'll take the booth man. I mean I'd like to have conversation just as much as the next person but
You know... Anyway

Observation don't lump all the bowls together spread them out. Give your cats a little bit of buffer when they eat they will
