hello everybody my name is Dean Lamont I
am the founder of in 30 minutes guides
today I going to show you a quick way to
make edits to a PDF using Adobe Acrobat
Pro DC and here's how it works
I have a PDF and it has a problem so
this by the way is the same in a Mac or
Windows the Adobe applications for
viewing and editing PDFs work basically
the same way so here is the PDF and I'm
going to open it up in Adobe Reader
which practically every computer user
has on their computer so this is a cheat
sheet that my company produces and in
this little green square here they're
supposed to be a number but you can see
on some pages there is a number two
three but on other pages the first page
there's an X and I want to change that
in Adobe Reader you can't do it
I can highlight it and I can try to type
over it but it's nothing's gonna happen
so you need to actually edit that and
here's how instead of opening it up in
reader you have to use a program called
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I think it's DC
stands for a Creative Cloud or something
cloud and you have to there's basically
a fee to use it there might be a free
period in some cases but I pay about
twenty-five dollars a month to use this
software I'm you know I'm a publisher so
I need to use it maybe if you'd only
needed to make a quick edit you can just
rent it for a month or try the trial
period but this is how you do it open
with Adobe Acrobat and then when you
come to this screen you'll see all these
grids appear click Edit PDF and then
some new things will open up here
there's all kinds of stuff you can do
with it and I'm on and I'm not going to
get deep into that all I want to do is
this change this number so this is X it
should be one okay so I'm going to click
save ctrl s or command S depending if
you're using Windows or Mac hit close
get out of that and let's take a look
and see what it looks like in another
PDF reader
Mac preview or Adobe Reader there it is
