hello my beautiful friends Gabe here
from drum beats online.com a website
that helps you become a better drummer
and speaking of the website and a little
bit here I'm gonna tell you how to get a
whole bunch of free lessons from the
upcoming memberships that drop on
October 22nd but before we get to that
we have three essential metal beats that
we have to learn and these are a lot of
fun so let's learn our first metal beat
so this first beat I hear and a whole
bunch of metal songs as well as all
these other beats that we are gonna
learn I like to call this one the gallop
and once you learn it you'll kind of
understand it kind of feels like you're
galloping a little bit so this beat we
are actually playing in double time so
all that means is we are playing the
snare drum on the end of every beat so
one and two and three and four and so
that's what our snare drum is doing next
let's go to the hi-hat we are playing an
open hi-hat and we are actually just
mimicking the snare drum we are playing
the open hi-hat
on the end of every single beat so right
in our left hand are just playing the
same exact thing now what we're gonna do
with our kick drum is we are gonna play
on beat one then the two E and then beat
three and then four E so the way that
would sound is like this one and two E
and three and four E and the very
interesting thing about this beat is how
different it sounds played at slow
tempos compared to fast tempos so now
let's hear what this beat sounds like at
a range of different tempos check it out

next up is the ever famous
blastbeats but before we get into that
really quick let me tell you how to get
a whole bunch of free lessons so on
October 22nd drum beats online is

achieve whatever your drumming dream is
whether you are just trying to become a
better drummer and that's your hobby and
you love that there's a membership for
you or you are trying to make a career
out of your drumming joining bands
playing local gigs or becoming an online
drummer there's a membership for you
there too if you want early access to
any of these memberships just click

description below and you will get a
free lesson sent straight to your inbox
every single week plus when the
memberships actually do drop you will
get an insane discount so again click on
the link in the description and sign up
for early access but now glass beats so
there are a ton of different ways that
you can play blast beats but I'm gonna
teach you blast beats in its purest form
so then you can start to experiment and
play around with different ways to play
blast beats so we are gonna play this in
sixteenth notes and this might be my
simplest explanation for a beat ever you
are going to play all the sixteenth
notes with your right hand on the ride
all the sixteenth notes with your left
hand on the snare drum and all the
sixteenth notes with your feet on the
bass drum alternating between your right
and your left foot so that would just be
one E and a
and three E and four E and uh now while
this might be a little bit easier to
explain executing this beep can actually
be really tricky but a lot of people
think it's hard to play with your feet
in blast beads but really the hardest
part is to play straight sixteenth notes
with your hands because your feet have
the luxury of alternating so now let's
hear what this blastbeats sounds like
and see different tempos check it out

all right this last fee is slightly more
complex than the last ones but I think
it can really add a lot of diversity to
your metal beats so what we are doing on
the kick drum is actually just playing
it straight sixteenth notes all across
the board just like in the blast beats
and then with your dominant hand on
whatever symbol you choose in this
example I'm playing it on the ride
we're just playing quarter notes so just
on beats one two three and four and then
the tricky part comes in on the snare
drum
we're playing every third sixteenth note
so we are playing on beat one we are
playing on the beat one then we are
playing on the end of beat two then on
the e of beat three and then you come
back down on the snare drum on beat four
and then we just repeat that pattern so
now check out this beat at a few
different tempos
[Music]
so like I said if you want access to a
whole bunch of free lessons click on the
link right here or in the description
below then you will have early access
and the membership of your choosing that
drops on October 22nd plus you're going
to get a sick discount so yeah those are
three metal beats that I think are going
to be absolutely essential if you are
looking to play a little bit more metal
music which feat was your favorite let
me know in the comments section below
and thank you as always for watching and
I will see you in the next lesson bye
