this video is going to demonstrate ultra
drill and all through a while but more
importantly it's going to show you how
to protect the cable either pay then you
push through the wall afterwards so you
can see we've got a cable that we need
to feed through a wall and there we've
got a scrap piece of John guest ten
millimeter
speedfit babe and you can see that it's
ten millimeters if you put in something
bigger through the wall you can use a
larger diameter pipes which is a 15 mil
/ 22 mil and those mere ten millimeter
SDS drill bits and you can see that it's
just slightly bigger than the pipe and
now you can see that I'm feeding the
flakes down the pipe so this is the wall
that we're going to be drilling through
and it's a cover to wall and you can see
that I've marked it already I've
actually done that by drilling the wall
without summer action on so we don't
chip the brick and you can also see that
I'm wearing me safety gloves and my
safety glasses which is important now
I'm just explaining here that I'm going
to have to drill else or this points in
slightly upwards so that when we drilled
at all it won't be perfectly level this
is also if any condensation collects on
the plastic pipe in the cavity it drips
towards the outside wall rather than
drip into the inside wall of the
property
so I'll now switch the ammo action on
and we're through the first skin and
then to the cavity and then we'll soon
be through DNA leaf of the property
and there it goes I'm now straightening
the piece of plastic babe ready to push
it through the oil and as you can see
it's got a straight end on it and it can
be quite hard to push this through
if you struggle into it once you can
always use a larger drill bit so you
could use an 11 mil drill bit instead of
a 10 mil so I'm going to push it in as
far as I can and then I'm going to go on
the inside and I'm going to push it back
out so that it's almost flush now I'm on
the inside and I'm pushing the pipe back
out and so I get in the position where I
wants it now I'm trimming the pipe and
then I'm going to push it back in so
it's flush with the brickwork and then
once you've fed your cable through the
pipe you can then seal the pipe and the
cable using some silicon sealant
though you can see that I've fed the
cable through the pipe and it's nice
inside this is the inside of the
property and you can clearly see the
white plastic part there with the black
cable coming out of it so this is a real
useful way of protecting your cable when
you're passing it through a wall
