hello my name is Josiah ray creator and
owner of Jay ray studios calm I'm going
to show you how to move a YouTube video
to your desktop now I'm going to open up
this YouTube video here inside of Chrome
and this is just kind of a short
animation that I made with my logo to
get this onto my desktop I can do one of
two things I'm going to right click on
the page go down to save as and here I
am inside my downloads folder and I'm
just going to click Save so if I open up
that file go to my downloads and double
click on the YouTube dot HTM you can see
it opens up the video in youtube so it's
kind of like a way of making a list of
favorites on your computer however if
you want to save the actual video we're
going to go to another site called
keepvid.com
so let's clicking the address bar and go
to key bit there we are and we need the
address of the video so let's go back to
the YouTube and clicking the address bar
to highlight press and hold ctrl and
push C or you can right-click on it and
say copy I'm going to go back to keep
fit and right click in side of this box
here and say paste so now it's got our
the address of our video there we're
going to click download and it's it's a
java application that's going to run
here so it's going to ask you if you
want to run java a couple of times so
we're going to say yep I want to run it
and it's going to pop up this other
window that says are you really really
sure you want to run this application
let's say yes accept the risk run it and
so now it gives me a whole set of
different options on how I want to
download this video so let's click on
the mp4 it's kind of the the best
quality for size ratio and it'll
automatically download that so let's
open it up and there you go there's our
video plane right on our computer so I
hope you've enjoyed this video on how to
move YouTube videos to your computer if
you have any other questions please
