that gonna be some good turkey
[Music]
what is going on everybody hey thanks
for tuning into the truck master Channel
I got a pretty exciting video coming
your way here I'm gonna go ahead and
install a EGR delete on a 2012 6.7 liter
dodge cummins are all super bulky to
collaborate as video together so
hopefully you guys enjoy it and thanks
for watching
alright fellas the first thing your
warning you're gonna want to go ahead
and do is you're gonna want to go ahead
and disconnect the batteries really all
you got to do is just take off the
ground
the negative terminals I mean we're
disconnecting electrical components so
it's very important you disconnect the
batteries alright guys so well next what
you're gonna go ahead and do is just
simply remove the 8 millimeter bolts
it'll be four of them one right here
here here in here our space alright guys
so now we're gonna go ahead and take
that 11 millimeter deep socket on the
band clamp right there there's one in
the second one which is right here we're
gonna go ahead and take that off and
we're gonna go ahead and zip those out
and we're gonna go ahead and take that
front tube off so this is actually
pretty tricky you have this you have
this metal plate right here in the way
so for you to get a wrench in there it's
uh it's gonna be putting it putting it
at an angle so it's not gonna actually
get it say the easiest way to do this
guys is to go up from underneath right
here see this look and then go ahead and
line up your open end right here and
then simply loosen it up that's probably
the easiest way you guys gonna be able
to get to this bolt or this nut right
here
[Applause]
first piece also one thing to note we
use some tin snips to take off that
bracket because it was a pain in the
butt to get to the other side of the
bolt so it's probably right easier for
you guys if you have some just just
something to cut that with they'd be
probably a lot easier to go ahead and
just take that part off there next thing
you're gonna want to go ahead and remove
that intake because you're gonna want to
go to basically you're gonna have to
so some access to get this heat shield
right here and this entire EGR cooler
alright guys that's the drain valve for
the coolant so basically you're gonna go
ahead and do it just put a soccer over
that you're gonna turn it open that
valve right there and go ahead and let
it leak out and let me show you the
words that there's the driver side front
bumper
[Music]
- next we're gonna remove the EGR valve
it's held in place by four 10 millimeter
bolts and there you have it folks that's
what's going inside of your engine that
is that's crazy
um that's not that's actually part of
the gasket right here it's not that
thick but it's just totally coated in
this stuff so good stuff okay guys
you're gonna want to go ahead and take
off that gasket and then clean the
surface so it's gonna leave this residue
right here go ahead and clean the
surface up yeah make sure you put
something in the intakes up there
[Music]
alright guys so we're gonna install our
first part we're gonna put the block off
plate on top of the intake horn make
sure that both overhangs are in the
plate and you should have a so these
holes are countersunk so you're not
going to need any washers on top top of
the wall
[Music]
go ahead and remove that heat shield now
guys it's gonna be 210 millimeter nuts
holding that okay so next guys you're
gonna want to go ahead and remove this
EGR servo bolts here gonna be two bolts
on this side three bolts over here over
here guys let's go ahead and take those
off to remove this servo right here just
like there will be another 10 millimeter
nut that you need to take off right
there
okay don't forget that step it's got
hung up on that injury now you can put
all this stuff on ebay insult food
dollars all the EGR stuff up seven
hundred dollars getting the deal only
two hundred thousand miles on the on the
engine yeah good remove that crankcase
breather to put and remove that Bank
clamp fifteen millimeter wide and remove
those two nuts which are gonna be a pain
in the butt
probably gonna need a swivel or an
extension for this side right here okay
so we're having a problem removing this
15 millimeter nut so basically I don't
have a swivel or that right there so I'm
gonna have to go to the parts store and
get that but in the meantime if I don't
have any luck on that end I'm gonna go
ahead and just leave this on right here
we're gonna remove all the other bolts
off the EGR cooler itself and just
disconnect it from that part right there
so we have a little more clearance so
the whole cooler will be gone and then
I'll be able to get a socket from this
side right here this right here it's
gonna be extremely tight I can't go in
down because it's down in eight and
angle as you guys can see that so I'm
just gonna leave that there okay you
mindful when you remove this line right
here it'll be cool it shooting
everywhere she's gonna want to go head
and remove this bolt right here and this
bolt right
I move that trans dipstick line out of
the way and right below that you're
gonna have yet another ten millimeter
nut you're gonna you're gonna want to go
ahead and remove all right guys so
you're gonna take the 250 millimeter
bolts off the very far back here alright
so as you see and you guys can see 15
millimeter bolt on the back here that's
gonna have to go and then you're gonna
have another one which are this is
probably gonna be the hardest part about
the job right here it's on the other
side right there okay so you have to
remove both once you do that this whole
cooler is gonna be freed up you'll be
able to pull this thing out it's about a
two and a half inch extension on a 15 we
back it out you only have so much room
to work with here so I'm using a flex
head so it's not gonna cut it if you
guys just have something straight so the
easiest way to do this one is use an
open-ended picking combination wrench
don't try to use a socket on that cuz
there's just not a lot of room Oh too
easy huh okay so we're gonna go ahead
and remove this bracket right here pull
metal piece the reason why we're doing
that obviously it needs to go but we're
gonna get more cleaners to remove this
bolt right this little nut right here so
it's gonna be a thirteen yeah so it's
gonna be you're gonna have two 13
millimeter bolts there we'll be holding
that on one here and then there'll be
one right inside of here yeah they're
underneath they're not visible
yep there it is nice and long remove
those guys so you get some clearance you
get this out right here there you go
15 mil a whole lot easier so remove the
cooler first yeah use that first don't
try to tackle that right there off the
bat don't try to pull this whole piece
off right here
alright guys now that we got all the
system components removed we're just
gonna install our block off plates there
and there the one with the fitting for
your EGT probe goes in the back and it
looks like the machined surface goes
down so I was thinking that we're I was
gonna put the shiny side up but when I
went to put the plug in I didn't want to
thread in from this side which leads me
to believe that they wanted you to
thread it in this way because it had a
chamfer right here so they want the
machine side down so just on your block
off plates so an expert just installing
the blocker plates make sure you use
your existing 15 millimeter nuts and
these these are not supplied with the
kit point of reference guys here's the
bracket that we installed just put it on
there loosely you're gonna have to move
some lines around or get the bottom bolt
holes to line up so you can mount that
so now what we're gonna go ahead and do
is remove this manifold bracket I'm
sorry manifold bolt right here go ahead
and pull that out and then we're gonna
install a stud bolt it's gonna go in
there basically to support this bracket
right here so we'll show you how to do
that oh here's a stud here's the spacer
that goes between these bolts you're
just gonna replace it with a stud you're
gonna run it all the way down and then
you're gonna put this replacement nut
over it
now that we got this tightened up we
replace the manifold bolt with a stud
and a nut now we're just gonna through
bolt this plate and this plate is
actually gonna secure this o-ring
fitting into this coolant line
[Music]
all right trans dipstick
nothing bolt supplied in the kit so and
just to hear that the 11 mil okay so
this is the six seven
Cummins EGR parts and accessories and
this is a LBZ 2006 Duramax EGR parts
we've just missing some of the tubes and
stuff like that the coolant lines but
and then this is obviously upgrade an
upgraded EGR intake system but I can't
find out what's in my garage somewhere
but just so you have an idea there's
really only three pieces right here just
like the EGR valve the the cooler and
then the pipe and then all these this is
crazy but what I will say is that the
Duramax is actually harder to install a
EGR delete on the Turner max then it
Cummins okay so we're just going to go
ahead and cut this thing a little bit
it's about three inches and why are we
cutting this because we're not gonna let
me show you in a second alright guys so
I mean as you can tell this is what
we're doing we're just we're just sizing
it up so we can couple it to this part
right here we're gonna install it right
here and we're gonna the positive
crankcase ventilation system back we're
gonna go ahead and install that put the
clamps back on and we're gonna start the
truck and we should be good to hook
that's it yeah intake on put more cool
in the engine and then obviously install
the terminal the negative terminals back
on the battery and we're we're done
[Music]
it's all done sorry about the noise it's
getting kind of cold so I turned my
burner on
looks good though that's basically what
you want
everything fit is perfect
that's cool going on the belt that is
all right so it sounds like we got a
little bit of a built will but at this
from the cooling it was leaking pig on
the belt so that's not
yeah that's really the only place they
really should be leaking yeah
[Music]
okay but other than that guys I
hopefully you I hope you enjoyed the
video in about four hours to do the
install on the Cummins if you have any
questions leave in the comments below
and make sure you get back with you I'm
gonna gather coal because it is nuts
outside but I appreciate your guys's
time subscribed as always and thank you
so much for watching
