hi a couple of days ago I was wondering

how many attempts does it take to break

a normal four-digit pin like you have in

the bank

I start by iterating for different

variables attached with a random

function so four different digits from 0

to 9 and this is the output whenever i

refresh it just regenerates afforded it

better then I have to actually break the

code how would most people break this

code would be to have an actual large

array which is a list of digits starting

from zero zero zero going up to 9999 but

to actually simulate how many attempts a

unique attempts it would take I have to

shuffle this list so it will not start

with zero zero zero and go zero zero one

zero zero two it will have zero zero one

zero fifteen and other numbers but never

repeating the number so I have a random

number dumb brute force way to break the

code and for example for this one it

took only 40 one attempt to get to the

number which is less than a second if

you can get a hundred per second 41

seconds if you get one per second 41

minutes if you get one per minute and

six weeks if you get one per day but

usually it's in the four digit range so

for example for this one I needed 1590

three attempts which is roughly fifteen

seconds if you type a hundred per second

and then weeks if you have one per hour

okay this one actually went a little

slower

it took me eight thousand two hundred

and nine attempts which is two minutes

if you can get a hundred per second so a

lot yeah so four digit pins are decently

secure ways but they can still be

hectares and you seen in the first

attempt

just by pure luck 41 attempts is not

that much Thanks
