here we're today we're talking about
insurance ins and outs and specifically
how to get health insurance when you're
unemployed
well the process for applying for health
insurance
when you're unemployed is no different
than if you were employed
you're going to contact a health
insurance agent or health insurance
company and
tell them that you'd like to apply for
coverage they'll provide you with an
application that you need to complete
the information that will be asked of
you would be your personal information
any
in all of your family members and a
detailed history of your your
your health any health conditions you
have including any medications that
you're currently or in the past have
taken
any accidents that you you've had any
diseases that you may have had or any
other any other conditions
medical conditions that you may may have
had your application will be submitted
to the
insurance company and underwriters will
review this information
and then usually within a couple of
weeks we'll be able to offer you
coverage based on on that information
giving you the rate may be as as it was
discussed by with your agent or it may
may be different um if you had health
insurance or health
health issues um that made you a little
higher risk for the insurance company
they can
turn around and offer offer you coverage
but maybe at a higher rate or
a worse case scenario they would decline
the coverage
