my name is gratitude and I'm going to

draw my death I was buried alive by

resentment we have been rivals since the

dawn of human history for most of that

time resentment held sway for millennia

I wandered searching for shelter but

more often than not resentment barred

the way man struggled to survive and so

did I at last I arrived at the

Enlightenment man's fate improved and so

did mine together we traveled to America

where people welcomed me with a national

holiday in my honor

grateful Americans celebrated abundance

giving thanks not just a friends and

family but to those who'd built their

nation fought for their freedom written

three books and created inventions that

improved their lives as people gave

thanks they gained strength confidence

and contentment then resentment showed
