so we'd got a pile of rust here welcome
back it's gonna be a fun one what I'm
gonna do here is I'm gonna put into
practice a free tip Friday that was
graciously given to me by Erica South
Main auto while bleeding breaks when you
got a busted bleeder and so that's what
we're gonna do today take a look here
things in fine fine New England
condition beauteous that's awesome
that's gonna bust this is never gonna be
on a road just as a fYI this is another
yard horse we have a lot of yard horses
around here but there's the bleeder or
what used to be the bleeder I know my
camera isn't very good at close-up
footage here it's a little blurry but
where am I that was a bleeder
so Derek was telling me that is me ma
told them she's a smart lady take off
actually Wow take off the lowest one you
can take off both but easiest ways just
pull lowest one we're gonna flip this
guy up so it's off the off the rusty
rotor here as it drops pieces of metal
into my drip pan yeah we got flip that
up and then we're gonna what you can see
yeah but we're gonna crack this break
line here hopefully without breaking the
banjo bolt off and said the caliper and
now we're gonna flip this guy up so now
the line will be the high point of the
whole operation
and got company and so then we'll be
able to get the air out of it
all right so I almost didn't record this
because I didn't think I was going to
get this bolt out
I just pounded pounded the socket in
hand I got it out I couldn't believe it
but I yeah I had a beat on this thing I
mean this thing is it's so friggin
rusted it's just like stalactites coming
off it well I got it off that's that's
battle number one won't be able to get
that out of there so what I'm gonna do
see if I can lift this thing up move
protection
oh crap you don't want to come off that
say well if that piston is ever gonna
come back out again
you guys still see ready to give up on
this vamos
ah I might just pull the whole thing off
that means I gotta take this out
[Applause]
and this one hasn't grown to that size
yet we gotta go one size nano sorry
about 20 degrees out here face melt has
been giving me trouble I think I got
some super thick oil somebody gave me
like 20 gallons of diesel diesel engine
oil and it's it doesn't like to move
like regular 5:30 doesn't cause I might
have to upgrade the line on that thing
tonight it's not as loud in here and I
have any of the fans on except for the
one in the stone Oh actually got grease
on look at that miracles never cease
yeah I'll watch it
now go ahead and put it right to the
floor just hold it just hold it there I
didn't even get it yet oh that is you
guys go get some fluid I'll be damned
here we get some man whatta ya all the
way for okay hold on
all right bring it up okay pick it up
yeah
looks actually lost alright hang on I
forgot to do I forgot to do it mission
critical pod here hang on I forgot to
put the block of wood in between the
pads like a dummy yeah they didn't go
all the way I happen to hear it yeah we
just gotta get good pressure there who's
working believe it then actually have
brakes that'd be a bonus just gotta
fight me in the hallway you have your
foot off the brake oh yeah I take take
your foot off all right yeah hang on one
second perfect perfect
yeah piece of would perfectly fit all
right just push it push it down to the
floor
hold it there whoa got a face ball yeah
a bunch of air came out that time can
hear it
all right let up yeah now go back down
up
oh yeah hang on shut down
what I call that good for now I have
nothing I want to bother with these long
as they work sweet looking more
promising than it was yesterday that's
for sure tighten this step
come now
Oh
yeah it worked real good a lot of air
out of it
nothing that was a different side so now
should I even bother trying taking this
bleeder off just probably just leave it
on I think it's gonna break just like
the yellow one this one's actually a
horse shape in the other side yeah down
again yeah okay good
looks like got nowhere yeah huh looks
like I got all the air out now
spin it just yeah look out lying that's
rigging cables
I mean brake hoses eat my long
I'll show you guys what we got going on
here don't ever ever ever do this on a
road-going vehicle but this is just a
brass plumbing fitting danger danger
good enough for a farmtruck but don't do
it don't do it on a road vehicle please
don't be stupid so anyways I'll show you
what I got
Oh gonna introduce you to my old shop
here's the old shop and yes I used to
work in this and this is my little work
area here where is it
it's broken doesn't make the sound I
have to ask Eric about that maybe give
me a the correct can all right so what
we got here a little flaring device
things things graves a lot of money but
makes flares extremely easy
so what you got here with these two
little these are 3/16 there's all
different sizes I got all the way up to
5/16 four point seven five millimeters
anyway so yeah so you stick the whole
line in here put that little guy in
there first little I don't know what you
call adapter I guess hold on so what I
just did
if you really see I got the brake line
in between these two halves right here
see then you just want it flush to the
outside of it okay so you lock it down
now I'm going to find my 3/16 device
slide that little guy in here all I
should do is you're not gonna be able to
read it probably but there's op 1 and op
2 which are two different flares if you
do op one it makes a bubble flare op 2
makes it inverted flat it's a two-step
operation for an inverted one-step for
bubble so yeah you get that thing lined
up in there and this is it there's one
motion boom just like that let me get a
flashlight so you can see what the heck
I just did my battery is gonna die again
but I get it on up to now you're gonna
pull that's it got a perfect flare now
you can see it and inside there
take his help there you go
takes like two seconds love this thing
it is it's made by Fed Hill right in
Oxford right down the road for me pretty
much it's just a there flaring kit comes
with all the adapters and stuff pretty
neat little device there ready so
that line I just showed you that I was
flaring in there I didn't even use
because ended up scrapping the whole the
whole line with my Mickey Mouse fittings
there I'll show you show you what I had
happening here I saw something dripping
I want to make sure these brake lines I
don't like it no okay so is the Mickey
Mouse job I ended up pulling the whole
line out because this one here is just
completely butchered it's stripped
started leaking you can see one is in
too far this one worked great this one
was you know holding pressure and
everything but I didn't even realize
this thing had a pretty good brake line
on the rear so so I just stole the brake
line off the rear brakes because we're
not used in many ways because the wheel
cylinders are shot and everything else
so I got some nice nylon line here a
nylon coated line that is let me get a
white oh yeah whoa wrong way
that's bright okay so yeah so here we go
see you lying going around town here
going up Oh too bright too bright
and anyways so you get the idea it's got
brakes now they actually work so the
Mont fit annex project which is getting
that crusty rusty power steering return
line back in the commission and I think
blew out puked all the power steering
out so right now it's a manual steering
truck that's pretty difficult to operate
I'll tell you that
Oh a nice purple sway bar I think that
pretty so anyways that's the next
project I gotta go get some lunch so we
got breaks that's why I give big thanks
to Eriko itself main auto channel
he's awesome you guys gotta check out
his channel if it looking for auto
repair videos they should be watching
him not watching me he does a lot better
job than I do it guys aw he's an awesome
guy
and he does the job right and if you
live anywhere near Vulcan New York go
bring you a car to him because he's
going to get it done and he's gonna get
it fixed and he's going to do it
Fairley he's not gonna rip you off that
I can guarantee you so anyways that's
that we got breaks oh yeah a shout out
the Eric owes me ma for that tip putting
a block of wood in it that works that
worked really good
that was awesome I gotta end up taking
the whole break off and getting it up
there because these lines are just
ridiculously long look at this I'm gonna
have to tie these up so they don't get
all caught up and worn out and the
trailing arms here or whatever that
called there and anyways so that's that
we got breaks and everything's good with
the old yard horse another yo us lives
to see another day it's all time for
lunch we'll see you on the next one
