so um my cut pedals a little spongy this
whole section here it's not really doing
anything so I think there's air in the
system so it's a sealed unit what
happened was I was testing the pedal and
I didn't have my reservoir mounted yet
so I pushed some air through so to bleed
a system like this is really simple just
take the slave off of the transmission
so we'll do that you need a steering
wheel puller and that sub boat is here
we go
you take your puller just put it on
there and bottom the push rod here up
against the piston inside now you can
climb the cab and push on the pedal if
the pedal is hard there's nothing wrong
with your master in your slave and the
issues in your clutch and most likely
you gotta pull your transmission out if
it's spongy then you got air and it so
one of two things like what I did was
step on the pedal with the reservoir
down and I pushed air into it hopefully
or your master in your slave is shot so
you go to rock out other like 160 bucks
but this is a simple check to do before
and if if it is the slave you got to
pull it off anyway so might as well do
this so we're gonna see how hard the
pedal is and then we'll bleed it here we
go so I have a little bit of travel here
it does get just get hard about halfway
down but we're gonna see if we get some
air out anyway now just take a 3/8 bolt
stick it right on through
you need something to push on but just
slowly push it piston all the way down
let it or track and what it'll do is
it'll push all the air up into your
reservoir and then as the piston comes
down it'll suck just fluid back down
again and do that slowly and a bunch of
times and every three or four pumps
check your reservoir and make sure that
you're keeping it full otherwise it'll
just suck it again you can flick your
hose and tap it and whatever all you
want to do is get all the air that's in
here trapped anywhere in the hose out to
the reservoir there we go after we
pumped it a whole bunch of times and
then a couple more just to be sure we
just put your rod back in again push on
the pedal make sure it doesn't move very
far and that will tell you whether
that's blood or not it's a lot very
simple to do and much better than
spending 160 bucks on a new clutch
assembly and then waiting for it to show
up or go in somewhere do this this is a
must do test before you start digging
into a deeper because it is so simple
here we go
much better solid like right away so
this is probably just a little bit of
free play and whatever but much better
so we're gonna reassemble the slave and
see if I can get it in gear here we go
