Need up to 30 seconds to load.
went to the store today and there was a
really good price on both cauliflower
and broccoli one was 1 euro and the
other one was 158 sounds like 70 cents a
pound or so really good price and Trevor
and I can't eat this all at once so I
decided to freeze it to do that I had
the blanch it and freeze it first thing
I have to do is chop it all up hmm there
it goes chopping so fast ten times the
speed everyone loves to watch this fast
motion stuff I do I'm really getting
good at it and I hope you appreciate it
that it's quite fast and takes a lot of
energy but there you go sometimes you
know it I put in the first bunch first I
put in cauliflower always do the
light-colored vegetables first in case
the water goes green I don't want my
cauliflower going green you can stick a
knife in it to see if it's gotten tender
at all and after a couple minutes three
to four minutes the cauliflower is done
broccoli takes only 1 or 2 minutes
cauliflower takes 3 or 4 then I put the
next batch in but quickly go to my super
clean sink and put the cauliflower in
ice water to cool it off so it doesn't
go soggy ok so after a bit it is ready
to come back into the bowl to go on a
tree for freezing I have three cookie
sheets luckily so I have enough space to
freeze all of my vegetables hey and I
have a big freezer and a deep freeze so
hey really cool in it lucky me
and here's the next batch of Bo Rockley
going in broccoli is really fast 1 to 2
minutes let's show that close up oh yeah
nice green mmm not quite done but oh now
it is this fast speed really gets you
going doesn't it yep so
here it is and another batch I think I
ended up with two batches of cauliflower
and three of broccoli and here comes the
first one of broccoli onto the freezing
tray get the next batch out looking
great just keep going till it's all done
it'll be worth it when you want to eat
this later on you just put a little bit
that you want in a bowl like this put in
the microwave and heat it for a minute
after it's defrosted or you can put a
pot of boiling water and put it into
that until it's ready which is like a
minute or if they're defrosted you can
just put super hot tap water on to them
in a bowl and they will warm up in time
for dinner just don't let them go soggy
so this is really good
yep see I'm gonna have three trays get
that other one out of the way I put this
one down finish off what you're doing oh
I was so pleased with this and the price
it's even cheaper than buying frozen
yourself good you know if you go buy a
bag of frozen broccoli get this little
bag with little bits and it says florets
on the top and you go oh boy and well
hey it's not like this is it
this is great
