Need up to 30 seconds to load.
hey boys and girls
we're getting ready sending out a
booster
this booster is going out to mark
your standard extremely nice
tandem diaphragm bendix booster
introduced in 1962 on the imperial
one of the most powerful boosters then
and today
and of course what makes them special is
they have a dual diaphragm plate in
there
rubber on here rubber on here and
essentially
there's two boosters up in here now
of course it's all rebuilt that's what
we do
uncle ron and then before we ship them
out
we do i do a little hillbilly test
which of course we're just gonna
simulate the real world right
now observe what i'm doing here friends
anybody can do this you could test your
booster on your
car if you thought it was bad uh you
need to isolate it you need to get it
off and if you ain't got a vacuum pump
you can
still use the tube from the carburetor
or the intake or something just get your
vacuum source hell i pulled up
buggy next to a whole different buggy
and just yank his hose off
so we've been cruising on down the road
[Music]
now pushing this in
and out of my hand
it's quite easy it's very smooth
see that action it rebounds well
and it recovers check check valve
i'm going to check the integrity of the
can
[Applause]
motor just shut off on us we're going
down the highway
and just shut off on us we need a little
bit of vacuum
vacuum reserve just to bring the car to
a safe stop
and pull over now if you haven't decided
that you need to pull over by now your
hemi just shut off
or you're s well
our rt charger just shut off
one
two two and a half now
as you can see with no vacuum you are
not
gonna push this hub in unless you try to
kill
yourself there you go you know the
vacuum assist is working
god bless you god bless america and
enjoy your booster mark
bye
