simple you might think you just need to
take a
week of training and get your
certification
you can be a crane operator it's never
that simple
it's a multi-step process
the first step for us would be what we
were going to call mobile plane operator
training we need to teach you how to
actually
use the piece of equipment what the
different pieces are called
how to read the load chart how to rig
the loads for it how to understand
the communication the signals voice
signals enhancing those for this piece
of equipment
then once you've gotten familiarized
with it and are able to
make it do what you want it to do then
we can get you through the certification
process become a certified client
operator
through agencies like the national
commission for certification of client
operators
that still doesn't mean that you are a
claim operator yet
for most organizations at this point
you'd go into ojt on the job training
because your certification for the cco
just simply your
permit means you pass a written
practical exam
so you start getting experience on a job
using it
then once you've got some fish in this
experience
then your employer will evaluate you
all the types of tasks routine and
complex that you'll be doing with this
piece of equipment
your understanding on how to program the
computer
it will document at that time the fact
that you are now
a crane operator trained
qualified certified and evaluated
by your employer and now you're free to
