we have been the first tutoring gym in
1994 unofficially but that's when the
first competitive team was so we had the
benefit of starting when it wasn't
popular at all
my sister was it was a one in question
that did and my mom started the first
team that we had of 25 girls instead of
every mistake we made along the way was
with replaceable the next year and we
learn from it and we grew from it and
the next year when we had two teams make
it you know more and more mistakes along
the way you just learn what works for
you and the faa's there are so many gyms
it's it's saturated market especially in
the south that it would be really hard
to open your own gym and be successful
that way without and have a lot of kids
come in um to be a cheerleading coach it
isn't an you know typical as you want it
to be I think that being the all-star
director is very difficult to just up
and become that you kind of have to work
your way through the ranks and get in at
the right time
tumbling instructors are wanted
everywhere and so that's a really good
way to get into it the USASF which is
the same company that puts on the world
cheerleading competition in Orlando
Florida every April they you have to
take a test and it's based on whoever
your representative is in your region
administrates it and it's just
one-on-one it's really stressful and
they ask you all these questions and
they they ask you how would you teach a
blank and it goes all the way from the
lowest level one skill all the way
through level five in every aspect
tumbling stunning basket tosses
everything you would ever need to know
and you have to say verbatim exactly
what the handbook says for you to do
whether every single gym makes everybody
in her gym be certified is questionable
they're supposed to I mean we all do so
and hopefully that that is what happens
