so when someone petitions for an
injunction against you the first thing
that they're gonna do is ask the judge
to immediately order a temporary
injunction and then there will be a
hearing set on whether or not that
injunction will become permanent so as
soon as you get notice of there being a
temporary injunction against you you
immediately have to cease all contact
with the other party that temporary
injunction is a court order it is it is
an injunction in itself it's just not
permanent at that point so at that point
cease all contact with the other party
contact an attorney
let the attorney know when that hearing
has been set for so that your attorney
can start preparing to you know prove to
the court that the requirements for
someone to get an injunction against you
just aren't there it has to be based on
more than just one
you know allegation of violence or
stalking and the avenue that they're
going about seeking one they have to be
the correct party so they have to have
certain standing you can't get a
domestic violence injunction against
someone if they don't fall under the
domestic violence statute so if they're
not a household member you were never a
spouse or if you guys don't live
together so
