heartgold on purple Rodri in the last
episode we made our way here to black
thorn city by crossing the ice path in
today's episode we're actually gonna be
entering the 8th gym but before we do
that we're gonna enter inside the move
tutor and move to leaders house because
we're gonna take care of a couple things
I've already gone ahead and talked to
the move to leader and actually taught
aqua waterfall but there's one more
thing we want to do here your quest for
power has brought you here very well let
me reward your passion with some
absolutely outstanding moves there the
ultimate moves shall I teach them to
your Pokemon - which Pokemon should I
teach a move so today we are gonna be
teaching Zuko an ultimate move it's
called blasts burn and it's a move that
can only be pod to starter Pokemon which
is pretty pretty cool so I'm actually
gonna go ahead and get rid of ember for
this move it's gonna be a very very
strong move and I definitely think it's
gonna be a great addition the Zuko's
move set so one two and three poof we
went ahead and learned ourselves blast
burn it's a hundred-fifty power which
makes it one of the strongest moves in
the game which is pretty pretty
ridiculous
ok so now that we've taken care of that
it is time for us to enter the gym once
and for all I am very excited so let's
go ahead and enter inside of blackthorn
city's pokemon gym take on the leader
Claire the blessed user of Dragon
Pokemon this is gonna be a very exciting
gym another thing that I've also gone
ahead and done is that oh look at this
guy yo champ and makin the gym has
unstable footing keep your Pokemon in
their pokeballs now Claire uses the
mythical and sacred dragon-type pokémon
you can't damage them very easily but
you know they're supposed to be weak
against ice type moves and ice type
moves we do have so are Zuko went back
into our pokeball and was what I was
saying was that I have gone ahead and
actually trained our Pokemon which is
pretty pretty cool everyone is pretty
much 40 except Sokka and Veloz and I'm
hoping that we'll be able to get them
there once we can all right we have our
first trainer battle so let's go ahead
and do this

I can already tell this is gonna be a
tough gym because this is the first time
that the trainer's pokemons have
actually been near our level as you can
see a Sidra came out so I'm actually
gonna put up den in front I just don't
want Zuko to you know end up getting hit
by a surf and then just surfing away
into that lava okay we have another
battle so let's go ahead and kick her
butt

ouch then took quite a little beating
there okay so now here we are at another
puzzle can we figure out how to do this
this time oh my goodness I don't know if
I'm doing this correctly or am I
supposed to go I don't even know uh nope
can't go there
alright let's go up there it is or is it
up where we're supposed to go I have no
clue to the side okay I think we have to
go to the side so let's go down and then
rotate it is that what I'm supposed to
do maybe please tell me I'm doing this
correctly uh yeah look I did it I'm like
a genius now slowly but surely I'm
figuring out how to do these things now

crits on me come on really like two
crits back-to-back are you really gonna
do that to me that's ridiculous I'm
gonna actually heal up I have a max
potion sweet
I should probably no no no no go back to
my bag I'm always so bad at clicking
this for some reason I have a really
hard time seeing that little red thing
all right we'll use the hyper potion why
not and let's heal up again and now we
are able to continue on I should
probably put no I don't want to risk it
I just don't want his Sidra coming out
and really whoopin me we have another
trainer battle let's go ahead and do it

there we go now we have made it to
another one of these little puzzly
things now how exactly am I supposed to
do this do I go here what the heck okay
maybe I have to turn it so we can go up
yes look at me figuring out how to do
puzzles correctly ah yes can we go down
here and now can we rotate that again
and can we rotate it again no I'm sure
by like three freaking mitches I'm
actually thinking I have to go here nope
can't I am gonna have to move it to the
side a little more and then begin the
rotation is what I'm guessing yes that's
probably it oh look at this here and now
we are ready to take on this lady up in
front I am actually gonna heal up then
one more time before we do this and then
we will be ready to face off against her
okay so here we go are you guys ready
let's go ahead and talk to her I am
Claire the world's best dragon type
master I can hold my own against even
the pokemons and leagues Elite Four do
you still want to take me on fine let's
do this as a generator I will use my
full Paulo against any opponent here we
go Rhodri versus Claire blackboard
city's pokemon gym leader he uses the
dragon-type pokémon we are challenged by
leader Claire she has four pokemon she's
she's pumping her arms she's very ready
for this and so am I here does the first
Pokemon out and I am very very ready to
do this as you can see we have den up in
the front good call on my part I'm gonna
go for a thunderbolt and hopefully this
will take it down it should be you know
quadruple effective and it should do a
ton of damage and take down class
Garrett dose goodbye see you later the
first of her more Pokemon is down and
we're gonna see what she's gonna bring
out next okay she's gonna send out a
dragon air and as you guys know aqua is
ready to take on these dudes so come on
now doc we're gonna be throwing out the
ice beams and hopefully freezing up her
little dragon-type pokémon and doing
some serious damage as I like to say it
there maggie is alright here we go
the dragon is gonna go for a dragon
pulse that's actually a pretty strong
dragon move it does weigh more than 40
it's not a dragon rage but here we go
we're gonna go with the ice beam let's
see how much damage will actually be
able to do on it I'm hoping
about half so then we can actually take
it down with the next one that was
pretty decent
good job off me all right the dragon
airs gonna go for another one and I'm
just gonna go ahead and keep spamming
the ice beams on it there's not much
strategy for me to do here but ice beam
super effective on dragons you know
there we go that's pretty much my little
strategy all right dragon there is down
oh man I probably have to heal myself
that is not good that is not good for me
and we're gonna see who clear is gonna
send out next it's gonna send out a king
drop
Oh little Kingdra then it's your time to
shine come on out then get another
little Thunderbolt going that has come
out to be a very strong pokemon
seriously I am so glad I added an
electric-type to our team which is very
very cool I'm gonna throw out the fun
bolt and let's see if we can actually
take it down right here we're about to
find out if we can put the lotion to the
motion and the motion and the basket all
right that's it about half its gonna go
for a smoke screen uh I was expecting it
to do a little more damage as long as we
can keep Claire from using her potions
or whatever she has them we'll be good
The Post King dress is gonna go for a
hyper beam yay hyper beam that's gonna
hurt a little I'm trying to use a double
kick to kind of get it down past the
halfway mark and then it has a frickin
berry of course of course her pokemons
gonna have a berry yay okay the first
king dress needs to recharge thank
goodness I'm gonna throw out the Shadow
Ball then and then I'm probably gonna
follow up with the thunder bolt and then
that should probably take down this
kingdra or so I hope if it lasts with
like one HP then that's gonna be
something real special kingdra is gonna
go for the hydro pump please don't ko me
oh six six HP what do i do do I go for
it
let's go for it why not get missed

have to switch out Pokemon great
fantastic I am gonna bring out who in
the heck if we break out I'm gonna bring
out Sokka
and hopefully saga can actually do a
little something-something we're about

Sokka learn close combat so hopefully
you know the quick claw kick
we can kill it this was a move that
Sokka learned while we were training it
up and we're gonna see how much damage
you can actually do Kayode right this is
that cute I can barely see the little
smidgen of health and it is down
good job Sokka oh good for us good for

leader Clara's gonna send out a dragon
air I'm gonna keep our Sokka for now ah
I'm just gonna hope that Sokka can
actually do this we're about to find out
if we'll be able to do it what Pokemon
left this is what the real battle begins

clackity clackity combat bad bad 'ti and
hopefully you can ko this little dude
well that holy crap that did a lot of
damage I didn't expect it to do that
much that was absolutely incredible the
foes dragon air is gonna go for the
dragon wave the Thunder way from that
Thunder Wave thunder wave I'm just so
used to seeing dragon moves you kidding
right I'm supposed to win I already
decided you decided what all right why
do you use a hyper potion let me just
take you down I can do this alright
we're gonna go for our close combat then
we have three of them left the quick
claws kicking in and hopefully we'll be
able to be paralyzed it can't we can't
move great and it has fire blast when in
the freakin world did this Pokemon learn

does she literally whoop out this
frickin TM and it hits a crit on me
everything that can go wrong is going
wrong are you freaking kidding me right
now you know what come on out Zuko wrap
things up right here because we're
getting dropped left and right let's go
with the blast burn oh right blast burn
actually landed thank goodness and now
we're gonna see how much damage you can
actually do to this Pokemon that did
quite a bit it's not very effective to
did did half the damage dragon air went
for a thunder wave this pokemon is
ridiculous business this lady's team is
so difficult she's gonna go with the
dragon pulse let's see how much damage
he does to us hopefully not a whole
bunch all right we need a recharge we're
gonna go for the blast burning em though
hopefully this dragon pulls in a crit if
it's a crit in this battle really isn't
in our favor alright finally we are
gonna be landing the plas burn and
hopefully koe the dragon here we hit our
it on the last hit that we didn't need
and there we go
poor fellas ridiculously tough holy crap
we defeated Claire I lost I don't
believe it there must be some mistake
we got 49 24 winning I won't concede
this I might have lost but you're still
not ready for the Pokemon League I know
you should take the Dragon Master
challenge behind this gym is a place
called dragon's den there is a small
shrine at its heart go there if you can
prove that you've lost your amazing
ideals
I will admit you are a trainer worthy of
a gym badge what's the matter is it too
much to expect of you great so now we
actually have to make our way through
the dragon den which is a location
behind this place to prove our worth
because little crybaby Claire doesn't
want to give us our badge
fan-freaking-tastic I'm gonna heal up
our pokemon and then we'll continue on
from here okay so now that we've gone
ahead and healed up our pokemon it is
time for us to make our way to the
dragon then which is supposedly behind
this gym I'm not sure what to expect but
hopefully you know we can get our
freakin badge after that because a
little crybaby Claire is all upset that
we beat her here we go we are inside of
the Dragon's Den
whew this is gonna be quite exciting it
looks like we have a battle so here we
go

I really like how they put a trainer
right there you know my Pokemon are only
you know all tired from freaking
battling Claire but you know just leave
just leave a random trainer there for me
to come down here to the Dragon's Den
you know to hopefully get my badge all
right I'm gonna go ahead and use this
repel then and then we should be able to
get this thing going let's go ahead and
you surf and let's see if we can make
our way to that little Hut
that is showed in the picture I'm pretty
sure that is where we have to go so
we're gonna see if we can find it let's
go ahead and just run around here
there's a trainer up there don't really
want to deal with it great we're gonna
have to learn whirlpool I was kind of
hesitant to teach that to any of our
Pokemon because I didn't think we would
need it but it looks like we're gonna
need it now so I'm just gonna go ahead
and teach the stripes really quickly and
then we'll be able to continue on from
there
I think stripes only has one move left
that isn't an eight chefs who are little
hm guy is running out of the thing to do
it's running out of tasks but there we
go we went ahead taught stripes are
we're pool and now we'll be able to
frickin whirlpool across we're a
ten-year-old why in the heck can we not
just run around those rocks and then
just cut through like what where's the
logic in that it makes no sense that we
have to sit here and cut through this
whirlpool it's so weird I have we made
it through the little Hut I think we
have so let's head inside
oh good Celia no need to explain why you
came Claire sent you here didn't she
that girl is a handful I am sorry but I
must test you not to where you were to
answer only a few questions ready okay
so it looks I'm gonna be answering a few
questions
what are Pokemon to you who allied
junior friend allies maybe I don't know
oh I understand
what helps you to win battles strategy
training cheating
it's definitely strategy because even
the weakest Pokemon can be good in
battle oh I understand what kind of
trainer do you wish to battle weak
strong anyone I want to battle strong
trainers but I would battle anyone oh I
understand
what is most important for raising
pokemon love violence knowledge
definitely love you have to be friends
with your Pokemon strong Pokemon weak
Pokemon which is more important both all
Pokemon are strong right boom
I see you clearly need for Pokemon very
commendable that conviction was what is
important Rhodri don't lose that belief
it will see through you at the Pokemon
League so how did it go I guess there's
no point in asking you didn't fail what
you passed that can't be you're lying
even I haven't approved their this child
is impeccable and skill and spirit admit
defeat and further rising badge or must
I inform Lance of this I I understand
this is the rising match hurry up take
it
we received the rising badge from Claire
that is the eighth of eight badges here
the johto region no more to go and
rising badge will enable your pokemon to
use a move for climbing waterfalls also
all pokemon will know you as a trainer
and obey your every command without
question
claire reflect upon what it is that you
lack and this child has okay what is
going on by the way have you heard of
lugia it is a pokemon center i've lived
around world islands once never mind
just mad words of the old i think we
have gotten ourselves the badge but now
what exactly is there left for us to do
i think we just have to surf back out of
here and that's probably all we have to
do for today it hasn't been a very
whacky episode has it not like glare
kicking our butts then apparently we
have something she does not it's
something very strange is happening
around this place and who knows what
awaits us here in the future let's go
ahead and use whirlpool let's just get
the heck out of here and let's continue
our adventure outside of this Dragon's
Den or whatever they would like to call
it oh right and there's Claire again
wait I'm sorry about this here take this
as my apology we obtained TM 59 that
contains dragon pulse while dragon pulse
is kind of uh nevermind it's huge and
it's you some kind if you don't want it
you don't have to take it
what's the matter if you add it to the
Pokemon they go back to new bark town
and stuff along Route 27 your face is
telling you have some unfinished
business come on whatever you have to
face from now on don't you dare give up
if you do I'll feel even worse about
having lost you give it all we will we
won't lose
we will not lose Claire I know
everyone's pride is in the line and
everyone's hard work and effort even our
pokémons is at stake whoa so it looks
like we finally made it back out here
we're getting a call from Professor elm
hello Roger how's it going I've gotten
hold of something neat swing by my lab
and pick it up see you later he
apparently has something for us to pick
up I wonder what could it be will it be
another Pokemon egg will it be another
little thing that we don't want and then
that he gives it to us and then were
like dude this was a waste of my time
professor Elm what are you doing to us
