want to back up the text messages from
your Android smartphone here's how you
do it
first install Carbonite SMS backup and
restore from the Play Store open the app
tap on get started and grant access to
all the four permissions that pop up tap
on set up a backup toggle phone calls
off if you only want to backup your
messages you can also tap advanced
options if you want to backup MMS s or
selected conversations tap next
now select where you want to make the
backup you can choose between Google
Drive or Dropbox and there's also an
option to locally back it up on your
phone though the app doesn't recommend
it once done tap on next and in the next
pop up tap on yes you can either set a
backup schedule from the given toggles
or turn off the scheduled recurring
backup toggled finally tap on backup now
with all this sorted you can now restore
your messages very easily to restore
simply install Carbonite SMS backup and
restore on your device or open the app
if it's already installed tap the
hamburger menu icon on the top left and
tap on restore choose from where you
want to backup your data from locally
Google Drive or Dropbox one set tap on
restore on the bottom right and then ok
and yes on the next pop up to get
started
