everyone in today's video I'm gonna show
you how to sync text messages between
your Mac and your iPhone we will start
the process on our Mac so on your iMac
on your laptop you want to go to the
messages app now if you don't see it
right here on the dock you could go to
the launch pad here and then select the
messages app here and on this page you
do have to log into your Apple ID if you
want I messages to come across I'll show
you text message forwarding next but
right here type in your Apple ID and
your password and press next and let's
do one more thing here before we go to
our iPhone go up here to messages and
press preferences and on this page go
over to I messages and you can be
reached for messages at you want to make
sure your phone number again is checked
on here by default when you log in it
should be checked on but just in case it
is not make sure this blue checkmark is
here so I have all of them activated
here and my phone number is activated so
I'm all set here next we've got to jump
into our iPhone and activate a quick
setting there and it should populate our
messages here on our Mac now on our
iPhone we want to go to the Settings app
on the phone so I'm gonna press settings
here and I need to scroll down to the
messages icon so all the way down here
on their phone messages is here I'm
gonna press that my I messages is
activated here but this option text
message forwarding select that option
and here we should see the new computer
we just added I've added two computers
the iMac I just added right now I need
to make sure this slider is turned on in
order to send and receive text messages
on my Mac so finally I'm jumping on the
Mac one more time and I used my iPhone
to send a message and it should appear
just like that on here and I could jump
onto that message and type out other
messages here and they should be
delivering here on my Mac if you do want
to sync up all your old messages if
they're synced in the iCloud you could
come to messages preferences and you
could enable messages on iCloud so you
could check that on and sync it now if
that's how you store your messages
in the past and if you want to initiate
messages here on your Mac you could just
press the compose a new message icon
here typing someone's number or name or
press the plus sign to access your
contact and then just type out your
message just like any other text and
it's that simple to sync your Mac and
iPhone text messages I hope you found
