Need up to 30 seconds to load.
in this quick tutorial video I'm gonna
be showing you how to backup your entire
iTunes library now to do so very simple
you're gonna come up here to the iTunes
menu click on file scroll down here to
library and click the export library now
once you do this it's going to create a
specific file it's called an XML file
that will reside anywhere that you
select on your computer to save it in
this case I'm going to make sure it's on
my desktop you do this you may get a
window like this just click that down
arrow if you want to be a little more
specific on where to save it's like a
desktop what this is gonna do is it's
gonna actually give it its today's date
which is to January 2014 now I'm gonna
click the Save button and as you can see
over here my desktop actually fairly
quickly a little library file will will
come up now what this does is it enables
iTunes to repopulate your list based off
of everything you've purchased online
and it's again it's just a way to access
your entire iTunes library and
repopulated if some reason your iTunes
library was deleted or you're using a
brand new computer so that's the best
way to create a backup file hopefully
that helps if it does go ahead and click
that thumbs up button for me and stay
tuned for more iTunes tips coming soon
