How to backup My Itunes Library To External Hard Drive

00:45all right let's hop back into itunes

00:48here

00:48now this is where the uh media folder is

00:52going to be

00:53so under volumes joy biagas itunes

00:56itunes media now on your computer may be

01:00a little bit different

01:01so we can change this and put the

01:03location of our itunes media

01:05onto an external hard drive because most

01:08cases external hard drives have

01:10more space for us to keep our data

01:14or keep our media and that way

01:17it doesn't take up so much room and so

01:19much space on our

01:20computer's hard drive so let's go ahead

01:22and change that

01:23and i'm going to change that by using or

01:26clicking change

01:28okay so just locate your hard drive i'm

01:30going to locate mine

01:32and then i have my itunes folder here so

01:34you can make an itunes folder

01:37and then another folder here

01:40itunes media and that's it that's all i

01:42need to do and then itunes will do the

01:43rest it will make

01:44all of the other uh folders here so you

01:47don't have to worry too much about that

01:49and then i'm just going to hit open

01:52okay and then we just hit okay at the

01:54bottom

01:56and that's pretty much it that now

01:58you've changed your location

01:59for itunes to keep all of its data

02:03that way it doesn't clog up all of the

02:05storage space

02:06on your computer's hard drive so there
